About the role:

The Digital Media Performance Manager assumes a pivotal role in implementing media best practices, tests, and processes throughout the enterprise. Collaborating closely with our AOR and Digital Marketing Managers, this individual will drive optimization aimed at maximizing impact with our customers. Responsibilities of this role include managing the relationship with our AOR, collaborating with our analytics team on cross-enterprise reporting, and spearheading ongoing campaign optimization efforts to ensure BSC achieves its holistic media KPIs and goals. Well-qualified candidates possess prior experience in Healthcare Professional and/or Direct-to-Patient roles, with demonstrated proficiency in managing media strategy across all paid digital platforms including Search, Social, Programmatic, Endemic, etc.

This individual contributor role reports directly to the Senior Group Manager of Performance Marketing and will be joining a dynamic team characterized by its fast-paced nature, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, skillfulness, supportiveness, and collaboration.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Marlborough, Massachusetts, or Arden Hills, Minnesota, office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Media Strategy & Performance Optimization

  • Partner with Digital Marketing Managers across divisions to define the strategic role of digital media, optimize channel investment and campaign performance, and translate traffic, behavioral, and conversion data into actionable recommendations.
  • Lead test-and-learn media strategies with Analytics, agency, and commercial partners, using data-driven experimentation to drive incremental value.
  • Develop audience strategies across HCP/DTR/DTP segments, identifying overlap, opportunities for coordination, and efficiencies across business units.
  • Lead the development and execution of BSC brand media campaigns in collaboration with the Global Brand Marketing manager and agency partners.

 

Measurement, Privacy & Media Governance

  • Partner with Corporate Analytics to align media measurement and campaign tracking with enterprise data strategy and standards.
  • In partnership with Privacy, IT, Analytics, agency, and platform partners, establish governance and QA processes to ensure consent signals and approved data-use rules are accurately implemented across campaign platforms, agency workflows, and measurement solutions.
  • Serve as Boston Scientific's subject matter expert for media brand safety, partnering with agencies, media platforms, and key technology partners.

 

Cross-Functional & Agency Leadership

  • Partner across Marketing and leadership to align media strategy and execution with broader business priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Digital Marketing teams and provide direction and oversight to agency partners to ensure channel execution aligns with business objectives.

 

Capability Building & Innovation

  • Educate business teams on emerging media capabilities, technologies, and opportunities to improve customer and patient engagement.
  • Evaluate and advance the responsible use of AI in digital media, including opportunities to improve audience strategy, campaign optimization, creative effectiveness, measurement, and operational efficiency, in alignment with enterprise AI, privacy, and data governance standards.
  • Build scalable tools, templates, and processes that improve the consistency, execution, and visibility of digital media across the organization.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in digital media planning and campaign execution across channels such as display/programmatic, SEM, and social. 
  • Familiarity with customer data and global privacy regulations and emerging trends (HIPAA, DAA, NAI, etc.). 
  • Proficiency in working with programmatic ad serving platforms, social media and DSPs.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data/results, discern trends/key findings, and drive actionable decisions. 
  • Understanding of digital media key performance indicators, including lead generation metrics.

  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry. 
  • Agency or in-platform media management experience
  • Excellent communication and writing skills. 
  • Ability to stay agile and adaptable to changes in the digital landscape and business priorities.

Maximum Salary: $202900 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
