About the role:

 

Boston Scientific is seeking a dynamic leader to join us as a Director of AI Product and Platform Delivery.

 

As the Director of AI Product and Platform Delivery, you'll oversee a dynamic team skilled in data engineering, product management, data science, and IoT platforms. Your role extends across various domains, including data enablement, digital and data products, and marketing content and automation. You'll spearhead the establishment and execution of our AI product strategy, roadmap, and product planning, while also collaborating closely with delivery leads to prioritize our portfolio. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering collaboration among internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to ensure our AI/GenAI strategy aligns with our business needs.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the delivery and alignment of the AI/GenAI technology stack and associated programs with the strategic roadmap and vision for value delivery.
  • Oversee the portfolio management and establish partnerships with data, digital products, and platform owners across the organization.
  • Collaborate with AI/GenAI leaders throughout the technology organization to promote awareness of capabilities and opportunities for scalability.
  • Contribute to the development of the AI/GenAI portfolio in alignment with the three-year strategy.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure that prioritized programs have the necessary resources for execution.
  • Facilitate Boston Scientific's AI strategy from a technology enablement perspective.
  • Spearhead the democratization of data and AI, empowering business functions to innovate and implement solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Lead a high-performing team dedicated to achieving strategic objectives and delivering exceptional results.
  • Stay abreast of AI trends and incorporate them into best practices and innovative strategies to ensure ongoing relevance and competitiveness.
  • Account for ongoing AI platform delivery, operations, scale, and future state readiness. This requires part technologist, part strategist, with experience in delivery across complex architectures and data platforms

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience leading digital, data, AI, and larger-scale programs and teams globally.
  • 10+ years of experience connecting digital, data, and AI strategy to the creation of a dedicated portfolio with demonstrable delivery.
  • 10+ years of experience managing technical 3rd party vendors across multiple technologies and architectures.
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT or business function directly leading a team of program managers who balance business and technical discussions.
  • 5+ years of experience leading 3rd party platform optimization, demonstrating the ability to strategically enable platforms to scale and drive beyond operational boundaries.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical delivery role.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile certifications
  • Product team / Product owner training
  • Experience in Generative AI/LLMs, preferably experienced in delivering and productionizing
