About the role:

The Director of ERP Systems is responsible for overseeing the development of ERP system landscape, integrated IT systems and solutions for Business Applications to meet specific rollout requirements. He / She is responsible for development of systems on ERP, Web, Intranet, PCs and other platforms. System development includes solutions design, configuration, data management, security, testing, resource monitoring, reporting and development of specialized programming that are required to deploy the enterprise solution to the location(s)/geography in every Rollout. Application programming also includes coordinating with other IT resources and Business resources, where necessary.

 

The Director of ERP Systems Development & Deployment is also responsible for planning and execution of all regional IT related Integration tasks for the successful deployment of the agreed upon scope, ensure stabilization of the solution and coordinate the successful transition to the SAP CoE post stabilization working directly with assigned resources to plan and ensure the execution of tasks as per plan.

 

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage execution of development, testing, data migration, cutover, and post-go-live support according to release plan Participate and influence deployment and release plan
  • Implementing development methodologies, standards, and controls to optimize delivery and ensure quality solution
  • Participate and influence deployment and release plan
  • Management of basis, security, data privacy
  • Technical readiness of solution for deployment
  • Own delivery tool ecosystem
  • Promote dev-ops capabilities
  • Determine how the application is supported in production, including back-ups, disaster recovery, system performance, transportation, release and project management
  • Manage the governance process to ensure that all deployments adhere to required process and quality standards and receive appropriate approval.
  • Work with IT lead and functions on delivery plans
  • Provides management and direction for the ERP IT teams and programming team including setting priorities, coordinating and reporting of group activities to the  Magellan PMO
  • Provides senior leadership being conversant with the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the Rollout locations
  • Leads a large team of ~ 50 resources comprising of BSC Senior Managers, technical staff and a large pool of external partner resources
  • Coordinates and facilitates tasks within the region and between regions for deployment of the global template
  • Coordinates & communicates progress to the Global Magellan PMO and update to the IT management, periodically
  • Works directly with assigned resources for a Rollout to plan and ensure the execution of tasks per plan
  • Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
  • Promote and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance, and actively support our compliance program-related initiatives and activities.
  • Consistently enforce employee compliance, including attendance at training programs, and promptly report any non-compliance to the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

 

What we’re looking for:

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science, MIS, Finance or similar area of study.
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 12 or more year’s previous experience.
  • Must have ERP and e-business experience ideally supporting large-scale enterprise Operations including complex order management, provisioning, billing and invoicing
  • Must have significant global experience in planning, developing and deploying large complex ERP solutions within the SAP ecosystem
  • Extensive system design and implementation experience with a track record of successful and timely implementation
  • Must have experience managing and working with offshore and geographically dispersed teams
  • Must have significant experience in working with and managing multiple consulting partners, contractors and software vendors
  • Experience in working with senior leadership of large organizations, Executive Steering committee, regional leadership and program management
  • Good understanding of the SAP solution to develop plans that are robust from an integrity point of view, cutover plans and deployment
  • Knowledge and experience with logistics, asset management and field operations, preferred
  • Must have had hands on experience in configuring SAP system and managed Integration, Testing, Cutover, Data conversion and CoE transitions
  • Life Sciences industry experience preferred
  • Ability to deal with all levels of personnel throughout Boston Scientific, outside consultants, and employment agencies
