<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This new role is focused on helping business and IT leaders make investment decisions that balance and prioritize operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the company. The Director, Enterprise Architecture will develop and provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices to global IT delivery teams. He/she will also liaise across IT and the enterprise to define architectural policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, and governance.  Possessing vision and demonstrable organizational and technical leadership skills, this individual will centralize the EA function while educating the senior leadership team.  This executive will drive the architecture review process and work to enhance enterprise digital transformation and data flow.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Your responsibilities include:  

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Act as a primary enterprise architecture expert in the area of IT and related strategy; lead the development and presentation of business capability models, technology reference models, and functional area roadmaps to guide investment decisions in support of executing business and IT strategy.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Influence and contribute to global EA and IT strategic goals, maintaining awareness of the value stream, business capability map, and changes to architecture roadmaps.  Guide the pragmatic alignment to global IT standards and EA principles.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Be an important advocate of technology driven innovation/solutions which will impact overall IT strategy.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of enterprise architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Review existing business processes and establishes metrics to improve those processes, as well as support all architectural disciplines across the company.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Lead programs to develop, maintain, and govern enterprise architecture across the organization.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Align architecture strategy with business goals.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Define, explain, and advocate technology strategy, both applications and infrastructure.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Develop and communicate architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Promote EA processes, outcomes, and results to the organization and senior leadership.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide EA decision making.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Manage exceptions to architectural standards at the enterprise level.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements as needed for the organization.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ensure the conceptual completeness of the technical solutions and create and manage exception processes for business needs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Approve the modification of the enterprise architecture to accommodate project needs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities given the enterprise asset base.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Consult with team to fit projects to enterprise architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the existing or proposed enterprise architecture.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Direct the research and evaluation of emerging technologies along with industry and market trends.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ensure recommendations are based on business relevance, appropriate timing, cost, and deployment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Own the Enterprise Reference Architecture to promote a holistic global landscape.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work with senior leadership to direct the allocation of resources to meet architectural initiatives critical to business/mission success.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Collaborate with project management and IT leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsible for the overall evaluation, training, and development of the architecture team.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Oversea the outline and execution of Enterprise Architecture strategy.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">What we’re looking for:


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Basic Qualifications

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">BA or BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or related field.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">5+ years of experience in an enterprise architecture leadership capacity.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">10+ years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, data analytics, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience in leading development of Micro services and containerized application (Docker images or Kubernetes) with expertise in distributed cache and load balancing. Experience with SOA, design patterns, web services technologies, APIs, Applications, Application Ecosystem, and Micro API's.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks/methodologies such as TOGAF (preferred), DODAF, FEAF, or Zachmann a plus.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A leader with strong communication skills along with the maturity to effectively operate at all levels of the company.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proven experience conceiving and delivering innovative solutions leveraging technology and information
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Senior executive presence, comfortable presenting and collaborating with Senior Leaders as a Business Advisor
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience working in a Global Organization supporting diverse businesses and geographies
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience and a comprehensive knowledge of information systems, financials, contract management, and business processes. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple, large scale projects using established project management tools and processes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills in including demonstrated ability to condense data in order to synthesize crisp and easily understandable deliverables.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining highly collaborative, flexible, and productive cross-organization teams.

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Master’s Degree
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Technology consulting experience considered a plus.
