About the role:

The Director, Global Integrated Digital Marketing will advance integrated digital marketing across the enterprise and lead the broader integrated digital marketing community at Boston Scientific. This person will be a visionary who will drive the implementation of seamless integrated digital marketing for our healthcare providers (HCPs), patients, and healthcare consumers. 

The Director will lead a team of direct reports responsible for media operations, brand safety, SEO, and content strategy for Boston Scientific. In addition, this person will lead a growing number of dotted line digital marketing reports who sit in Business Units driving integrated digital initiatives across all of Boston Scientific’s.

The Director is responsible for ensuring best practices and lessons learned are captured and shared globally, as well as developing business cases for leading-edge integrated digital marketing opportunities. Additionally, the Director leads the development of Boston Scientific’s global digital marketing strategy, including defining and implementing the organization, technology infrastructure and other requirements for best-in-class regional capabilities.

Success requires significant cross-functional stakeholder collaboration across the organization, including BU product, integrated, and digital marketing, regional marketing, Marketing Technology & Enablement, IT, the measurement & analytics team, corporate communications, finance, and more. The Director will also serve as a change agent and driver for performance marketing across the enterprise, partnering with the Measurement & Analytics team to define program objectives, establish metrics, report results, and scale and optimize accordingly. 

Your responsibilities include:
•Leads global integrated digital strategy, media operations, brand safety, SEO, and content strategy thought leadership, planning, and executional excellence for the enterprise
•Oversees strategy, development and execution of complex, insight driven and highly customized, integrated marketing strategies and multi-channel demand generation campaigns that generate business impact
•Oversees enterprise content strategy, brand safety, SEO, and media strategy teams
•Evaluate, select, and manage agency partners as needed  
•Foster KPI driven culture, ensure creation of dashboards to track and report campaign performance, overseeing the collection and utilization of performance data to inform progress and guide optimization. 
•Leads community of dotted-line Digital Marketing Managers to plan, implement and analyze best-in-class digital marketing campaigns targeting healthcare professionals and patients; supports and mentors the team in their growth and development
•Builds and manages global integrated digital marketing community 
•Connects with key business unit stakeholders including Marketing Directors, Communication Directors, Product Managers, and more
•Connects with critical corporate marketing partners including Marketing Technology & Enablement, Production, DTP&R, and analytics & measurement teams 
•Leads introduction of new approaches to and technologies to deliver integrated digital marketing including Performance-Based Marketing models
•Clearly presents concepts and rationale for strategic decisions and possesses strong verbal and written communication skills 
•Remains current on BSC’s business, competitors and customers; making proactive recommendations to improve competitive advantage
•Foster a high-performance team culture; identify opportunities to actively coach and develop talent, strengthen team expertise, seek to empower individuals, and drive accountability for agreed upon commitments
•Responsible for managing budget to support digital platforms and team

Minimum Qualifications:
•12+ years of marketing programs experience, with emphasis on digital marketing and integrated communications management
•Ideal candidate is a master at leading and inspiring teams with a strong track-record of developing, executing, scaling, and consistently measuring innovative, results-focused integrated communications and demand generation campaigns
•Prior digital marketing (programmatic, marketing automation, SEO, content, etc.) and demand generation experience is a must; direct-to-patient/consumer and/or agency experience a plus
•Analytical mindset with ability to define, track and report on leading campaign performance metrics and ROI
•Proven ability to drive change and influence organizations; able to manage complexity of multiple projects, programs, and priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
•Able to effectively lead and collaborate across multiple and diverse internal stakeholder groups including Product Marketing, Sales, IT, Corporate Marketing & Communications, Legal, Regulatory and Finance
•Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships
