About the role:  

 

As the Director HR Business Partner for our Global Quality & Regulatory organization (focused on Global Supply Chain), you will play a pivotal role as a strategic business partner, bridging the gap between aligning our organization's business objectives and our most valuable asset – our people. The Director, HR Business Partner – Global QA/RA reports directly to the Sr. Director, HR Business Partner – Global QA/RA. The role can be based in Marlborough, MA, Arden Hills, MN, or an Ireland site (working US hours ~3 days per week). This role can be onsite full time or hybrid at 3 days per week, with regular travel between campuses, and with some travel throughout the year.  

  

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • HR Business Strategy:  Collaborate with senior leadership to enable business goals and objectives through purposeful people and organizational design strategies and initiatives that align with the specific needs of a global highly matrixed organization, enabling the growth of the business and our talent. 
  • Workforce Planning:  Build a robust workforce plan and ensure execution of the plan within the various locations. Anticipate and proactively address future talent needs, mitigate risks associated with talent shortages or surpluses, optimize resource allocation, and build a resilient and agile team.  
  • Talent Management: Develop and lead the talent agenda, which includes creating plans that assess talent, perform pipeline analysis and fill gaps to develop and move people within the enterprise as appropriate. Together with the senior leadership team, build plans to attract talent for the organization. 
  • Building Culture:  Work closely with leaders to drive and embed company values and behaviors and ensure leaders leverage these to motivate and engage a global high performing team. 
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Foster an inclusive and diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential, with a sense of belonging, in pursuit of organizational objectives. Consult with leaders on strategic initiatives to continuously improve and elevate the organizations culture, diversity and inclusion. 
  • HR Leadership and Development: Partner closely with HR Business Partners globally to enable broader business strategies through purposeful connections to align and execute seamlessly. Work together with Centers of Excellence to address the strategic needs of the business. Ensure strategies and initiatives link closely with globally established processes and systems. Provide leadership and mentorship to HR partners and peers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, productive feedback, and continuous learning within the HR function. 
  • Organizational Design: Partner with business leaders to assess organizational needs and develop solutions to enhance performance, productivity, and team effectiveness. Lead change management initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Global Operations HR Team: Support both the design and execution of business and functional HR strategic plans and annual plans for both the business and the Global Operations HR team.  
  • Coach and Mentor: Act as a coach and mentor to the leadership team. Position yourself as a credible advisor.   

 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 10+ years’ experience in a progressive Human Resources organization and in a similar sized organization. 
  • Strong business acumen coupled with proven, in-depth experience in assessing, identifying, designing, and implementing talent management and organizational effectiveness initiatives. 
  • Excellent analytical skills leveraging insights to define future forward thinking on how to evolve both the talent and organization. 
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with a proven track record in both. 
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex business challenges, both urgent short-term issues and long-term strategic items. 
  • A deep understanding of how to build talent in an organization both in terms of acquisition and development, with experience creating engagement and retention strategies and plans for successful deployment. 
  • Strong commitment to defining and delivering diversity and inclusion strategies. 
  • Previous experience in guiding, coaching and leading senior executives as a credible business advisor. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong networks. 
  • An active sponsor, mentor and/or coach of talent. 

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated cultural agility and ability to effectively lead and collaborate globally, across divisions, regions, and global functions. 
  • Self-directed work style, able to work independently with minimal direction and deliver results with customer focus and a strong sense of urgency.  
  • Experience with developing and implementing workforce planning strategies.
