About the Role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Talent Acquisition to oversee our recruitment strategies across the US and Canada. This role is crucial for building and leading a team of 50+ members to attract, engage, and retain top talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for stakeholder and vendor management, early career programs, and devising innovative talent strategies to support our organizational growth. The ideal candidate will also champion the integration of advanced technologies, including AI, to enhance our recruitment processes and support our organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse and high-performing team of 50+ talent acquisition professionals, fostering a growth mindset and a culture of collaboration, and innovation. Build a cohesive and adaptable team by providing clear direction, regular feedback, and opportunities for skill and career development. Create a supportive environment that encourages open communication, experimentation with new processes, and the sharing of best practices. Empower team members to take ownership of projects, while promoting cross-functional collaboration and a results-oriented approach.

Change Leadership and Transformation: Lead the talent acquisition function through transformative change, continuous improvement and championing the adoption of AI and advanced technologies. Build a resilient team that embraces change and continuously seeks new, innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs. Cultivate an agile mindset within the team to adapt to shifting market conditions and organizational priorities.

Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to ensure alignment with recruitment goals and objectives.

Early Careers Program: Create and oversee initiatives focused on recruiting early career professionals, including internships, co-op programs, and entry-level positions.

Building Talent Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term growth.

Technology-Driven Talent Strategies: Work with cross functional leaders in the development and implementation of cutting-edge talent acquisition strategies that harness AI and other technologies to optimize recruitment efficiency and effectiveness.

Compliance: Lead the implementation of all regulatory compliance requirements and interface with regulatory bodies including OFCCP.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success of recruitment efforts, ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of targets.

Collaboration: Work closely with Talent Management, Total Rewards, HR Operations and DEI COE leaders, HRBPs, business leaders, and other functions to ensure a cohesive approach to talent acquisition and organizational development.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent acquisition within a large matrixed organization, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of early career recruitment strategies and programs

Proficiency in recruitment software and AI platforms, with a demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics for informed decision-making.

Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing large teams.

Demonstrated ability to understand the business and the critical role that the TA function plays in driving top line growth and operational income.

Proven experience in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
