About the role:

The Director of Supplier Quality Engineering for Global Services, Joint Ventures and Acquisition is a centralized leadership position within the Global Supplier Quality organization. This role will collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to enable, evolve, and sustain supplier quality.   

 

The Director of Supplier Quality Engineering for Global Services, Joint Ventures and Acquisition will lead all aspects of Global Services (Acquisition and Sustaining).  This role will develop and lead strategies and teams in support of Joint Ventures. This role will provide overall Supplier Quality leadership for Acquisition and Integration, spanning Direct Materials and Sourced Finished Device Supplier Quality. This leader and their team will work closely with Global Direct Sourcing, Global Indirect Sourcing, Global Supplier Engineering, Regional Teams, Global Supply Chain & Distribution, Divisional Design Quality Assurance, New Product Development, Sustaining R&D teams, and external suppliers.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic and Operational leadership for Global Services Supplier Quality-Responsible for supporting Global Service Suppliers qualified and maintained on the BSC AVL.  Establish and maintain relationships as the single Supplier Quality partner with Indirect Sourcing and Global Logistics, Sterilization Services and Global Quality Systems.
  • Joint Venture – Responsible to establish a cogent strategy for Global Supplier Quality to support these arrangements efficiently and effectively.
  • Acquisition & Integration – Responsible to create centralized leadership for Supplier Quality Acquisition and Integration resources. Assure support to the businesses, project teams and develop functional excellence in partnership with Global Sourcing leadership.   
  • Mentor and coach individual and team performance, consistently demonstrating BSC’s core values.
  • Ensure resourcing to maintain the Quality System compliance and adherence to BSC Quality policy
  • Drive continuous improvement mindset in their approach to Quality with an emphasis on preventative measures.
  • Collaborates with business functions to develop regional strategies that support business growth.
  • Prioritize patient safety and product quality, maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and documented quality processes.
  • Promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within their function and workplace.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 9 years of related functional experience within the medical device Quality space
  • Minimum of 7 years of direct/indirect leadership experience leading large and diverse teams in a highly matrixed environment
  • Experience working with Asia Pacific regions and supplier based in China
  • Experience with SFMD, Acquisition & Integrations, and New Product Development projects
  • Experience working with large-scale Quality systems and methods supporting production and customer needs
