Distribution Network Analyst II

 

 

About the Role:

 

The Distribution Network Analyst II is part of the GSC Planning Center of Excellence team.  This matrixed role provides the unique opportunity to work with distribution, transportation and supply chain planning while also being involved in strategic projects that have a corporate wide impact.  Involvement in activities and tasks that range from strategic to tactical spectrums requires high performance individuals that can quickly adapt to requirements of the task at hand.  This may range from creative out of the box thinking, consulting skills, project management, co-ordination and planning, to skillful manipulation and analysis of large amounts of data.  The Analyst II is also expected be efficient in working with the systems and tools that support the various business functions.

 

 

Your Responsibilities Include: 

 

 

  • Develop and analyze reports measuring and projecting distribution center network throughput and capacity.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Center Managers to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the distribution network.
  • Analyze distribution freight and sterilization lane capacity and anticipate potential capacity issues.
  • Analyze reports which measure distribution lead time and lead time variability, collaborate with transportation teams to ensure key master data is accurate in planning systems.
  • Optimize total distribution costs by analyzing and maintaining DC to DC economic order quantities, source selection and mode selection.
  • Maintain key master data in supply chain planning systems to support distribution S&OP execution.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for current processes and systems.
  • Support Corporate projects- develop the approach, communicate plans and tasks to divisional and global participants, manage project to timeline, and successfully achieve project goals.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision.

 

 

What We're Looking For:

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, information systems or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years with an MBA. Supply Chain Analyst, Supply Chain Planning or Data Management Systems experience.
  • Strong PC skills such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
  • Using a relational database to structure and combine data
  • Developing reports and analysis from large data sets using analytical and statistical tools
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain Planning (demand planning, inventory planning, forecasting or supply planning)
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures
