Title: Boston Scientific R&D Co-op  

Location(s): Marlborough, MA  

Duration: Co-op Terms: January – June 2025

Summary: Responsible for providing product development support within the Endoscopy and Urology R&D  

  

Your Opportunity:  

  • As a co-op at Boston Scientific, you will… 
  • Researches, develops, designs, and evaluates materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment 
  • Works “hands-on” in performing testing, troubleshooting, and prototype assembly for new products and technologies 
  • Utilizes CAD/Solidworks as required while completing assignments 
  • Designs and coordinates engineering tests and experiments 
  • Performs basic statistical analyses as necessary 
  • Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development 
  • Gathers and provides technical data for technical reviews 
  • Contributes or prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community 
  • Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions 
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively with peers, engineering personnel, technicians, and management 
  • May provide material testing support and analysis 

  

Your Qualifications:  

  • Students working towards a BS/MS/PhD degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Biomechanical, Chemical, Plastics, Materials Science, etc. 
  •  BS students must be graduating in 2026 or 2027.
