About the Role:

As a Facilities Planner II, you will help manage and optimize our site in Marlborough, MA. Your duties include space planning and design, move scheduling, furniture selection, and customer request management. You will also create and execute remodel and reconstruction plans, manage expenditures, and maintain accurate building and site master drawings. Additionally, you will control furniture and inventory, ensuring Facilities and Space information is readily available for customers.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Perform space planning and design for multi-building and multi-campus business.

  • Collect and maintain accurate event based forecast data about people, production, and lab spaces.

  • Assign space to customers (office, common, production, lab, parking spaces).

  • Perform move scheduling and coordination. Perform furniture and casework selection, install, change, removal.

  • Intake, evaluate, schedule, execute and monitor customer requests to Facilities over the full spectrum of Facilities services.

  • Create remodel and reconstruction plans, drawings, and schedules.

  • Execute remodels and reconstruction through subcontractors.

  • Manage expenditures on moves, furniture, remodels, and construction.

  • Maintain accurate building and site master drawings reflecting as-built and as-used conditions. Maintain current and historical revision control of drawings.

  • Maintain accurate data on space categories, space users and space allocations

  • Maintain accurate historical data on remodel and construction activities.

  • Maintain the remodel cadence plans (planned replacement cycles).

  • Maintain and control furniture and other inventory at on-site and offsite locations.

  • Provide readily available, easy to use Facilities and Space information to customers.

 

Required qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience with facilities space management, planning activities, and/or facilities-related project management experience

  • Associate or bachelor's degree; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Up to 10% travel (within 30 miles of primary work location)

  • Experiencing with facility management software, coordinating vendor/supplier activities, and an understanding of floor plan schematics

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • IFMA Facility Management Professional

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project

  • Supervision of vendors/suppliers

  • Project management experience

  • Experience with facilities maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, and/or site master planning

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
