About the Role:
As a Fellow Enterprise Architect within Boston Scientific’s Commercial function, you will serve as a strategic technology and business leader, responsible for shaping and advancing enterprise architecture strategies that drive digital transformation, operational excellence, and business alignment. Focusing on Commercial domains such as Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience, you will play a critical role in enabling innovation, optimizing systems and platforms, and influencing long-term technology roadmaps. You will collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams to architect scalable, secure, and modern solutions that enhance customer engagement and streamline commercial operations across global markets.
While U.S.-based candidates are preferred for this role, we also welcome applicants from the EMEA region who are within commuting distance of one of our HUB locations and able to work in a hybrid arrangement.
Work Mode
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute enterprise architecture strategies aligned with Commercial business goals to drive growth, agility, and efficiency.
- Provide subject matter expertise and architectural leadership across a broad range of technologies and platforms.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of architects; promote consistency and best practices in solution design.
- Define and maintain current, target, and transitional architecture artifacts with actionable recommendations.
- Create and manage enterprise architecture roadmaps that support evolving Commercial priorities.
- Provide strategic input on high-impact initiatives, ensuring alignment between IT and business outcomes.
- Drive governance and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements within architectural solutions.
- Resolve complex architectural challenges through innovative, scalable, and data-driven approaches.
- Influence senior stakeholders and build strong partnerships across functions to ensure business alignment.
- Champion the advancement of Business Architecture capabilities within the organization.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, and technology delivery.
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience (e.g., Principal Architect, Director, or Chief Architect level).
- Proven track record of influencing executive stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Deep experience delivering large-scale, impactful Commercial technology solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge across enterprise architecture domains including business, data, application, security, and infrastructure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and grow architecture teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the medical device, life sciences, or healthcare industry.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline and/or relevant professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe, AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with emerging enterprise architecture methodologies and data frameworks.
- Ability to drive strategic business outcomes through technology and architectural influence.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading transformational change.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
