About the role: 
We are seeking a talented Front End Developer Lead to join our team in the Digital Commerce space, with a focus on our SAP Commerce Cloud platform and B2B eCommerce solutions. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Sales Enablement, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Digital & eCommerce roadmap. We need an innovative, technically-savvy and strategic thinker who can identify and evaluate highly flexible and scalable solutions, and who has experience working in an agile environment. As a team player, you will collaborate across multiple business partners, Digital Commerce Product Teams, commercial architecture, and cross-functional teams to meet business needs and deliver value.

Your responsibilities include: 

• Participating in all phases of the software development project including requirements gathering, user experience, design, construct, implementation, testing, and post-implementation activities. 
• Enhancing, maintaining and supporting the development of eCommerce applications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle according to the IT methodology, department SOP’s, team guidelines, best practices and industry standards.
• Leading the planning, design, development, and maintenance of front-end web and responsive UI component-based eCommerce applications. 
• Working closely with UX and design resources to ensure technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user-centric focus. 
• Developing and modifying user-facing features, building reusable code for future use and optimizing applications for speed and scalability. 
• Accountable for front end technical issue resolution including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction. 
• Creating and maintaining system documentation according to the IT methodology (proposals, designs, test specifications, and other deliverables as necessary) for eCommerce applications.
• Supporting multiple large, complex, cross-functional divisional and global projects. 
• Prioritizing and implementing new application features within an agile product team, while maintaining the quality of existing features and functionality. 
• Leading offshore front-end developers in multiple cross-functional initiatives, completing code reviews of front-end developer work outputs, setting up code quality processes for UI frameworks, and recommending best practices. 
• Maintaining a collaborative working relationship with IT peers, business partners, and software vendors. 
• Managing own work time and priorities under aggressive timelines and budgets. 
• Researching and applying new technologies, development techniques and best practices by leveraging experience, industry contacts, seminars, and books.

What we're looking for: 
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 
• 5+ years of front end development experience with expertise within the SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP. 
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and related tools (dependency management, CSS preproccessors). 
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including vanilla Javascript. 
• Experience using one or more advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as Angular, React, etc. 
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. 
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), Gulp, Sass, Bootstrap Framework, Git and Bitbucket. 
• Strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and demonstrated experience writing semantic HTML, with a focus on screen readers and keyboard. 
• Working knowledge of source code control and branching methodologies, debugging, performance monitoring, benchmarking, logging, and testing tools. 
• Hands-on experience with KARMA and Jasmine frameworks for unit testing.
• Strong experience with test-driven development methodologies. 
• Experience with Agile delivery practices, preferably in a lead role. 
• Proven leadership in partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects.
• Ability to lead offshore front-end developers in multiple cross-functional initiatives toward
• Experience working in large and complex enterprise project environments
• Proven experience working in a regulated environment with quality systems which includes strong documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 
• Experience in life science or other regulated industry
• Experience within SFDC technical ecosystem
• Experience with AEM
