About the role:
The Global Clinical Project Communications Principal drives the inclusion, development and execution of communication and change management action plans for strategic and global clinical projects and programs. As a critical member of the project team this role will leverage communications strategies and tactics to maximize project success and stakeholder engagement while minimizing adoption risk and elevating project visibility across the organization.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develops and executes communication strategy for projects by participating on project teams and working with appropriate team members to understand project scope, objectives and integrating the communications requirements into the project plan.
  • Leverages communications tools and best practices to deliver a communications plan, stakeholder map and infrastructure to ensure a consistent and comprehensive program in support of project goals.
  • Enable project adoption through the use of techniques and tools that address resistance to change and/for facilitate the building of value drivers to support business changes and bring stakeholders along on the change journey.
  • Partners to develop internal and external project communication messaging, content and/or tools to be delivered across stakeholder groups and through various communications channels to maximize reach.
  • Communicates program status at project team and leadership meetings and ensures progress is aligned to project pace.
  • Resolves project communication roadblocks by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
  • Consults with internal project groups by sharing communications knowledge and assisting or mentoring team members in communications processes and techniques.
  • Responsible for leading and organizing preparation activities and meetings needed for the development of communications deliverables including intake calls with stakeholders, review meetings with content owners and program leads for guidance and input into the final content output.
  • Build strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders to promote an integrated communications approach across clinical programs.
  • Provides informal coaching and mentors other more junior communications team members.
     

What we're looking for in you:
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Communications preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an internal and/or external communications or related role
  • Previous experience in managing communications projects and/or programs

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written as well as a demonstrated attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able perform well under pressure and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Expertise building communications plans and introducing techniques to manage resistance to change
  • Proven ability to develop communication strategies and communicate recommendations at various levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Up to date with latest trends and marketing best practices
  • Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment that strives to exceed expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability/experience in an environment of change and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to compliance, ethics and accountability
