About the role:
The Global Process Leader (GPL) – Customer to Contract will lead the end-to-end design, governance, execution, and continuous improvement of the Customer to Contract process across Boston Scientific’s enterprise. The GPL is responsible for establishing a global, standardized, and optimized process architecture that supports operational efficiency, data integrity, and strategic transformation programs. This domain includes but not limited to Prospecting, Quoting, Contracts & Tenders, Onboarding, Customer Management and Contract Lifecycle.
This individual will serve as a key catalyst for change—collaborating across business functions, geographies, and technology platforms to ensure alignment with enterprise goals and regulatory standards.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Process Leadership
- Develop & own the global vision & roadmap for the Customer to Contract process, aligned to enterprise objectives.
- Define, document, and govern global standards and policies related to Customer to Contract.
- Champion process transformation and standardization efforts across all regions and functions.
- Direct responsibility for translating strategy into operational goals, assessing resource needs, managing risks, and implementing process and technical solutions
- Benchmarking and Best Practices: Advocates using external benchmarking and best-in-class practices to drive process and technology transformation
Governance & Decision-Making
- Establish & lead global governance forums & communities of practise for decision-making & prioritization.
- Define and maintain a formal RACI model, ensuring clarity of roles across global, regional, and local levels.
- Collaboration with Other GPLs: Formal partnership with GPL community to identify synergies and align on ways of working and best practises
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Build & lead a cross-functional team of Process Stewards, Business Process Engineers, and Change Managers.
- Collaborate closely with IT, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, and GBS teams to drive execution and change adoption.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Define key performance indicators & benchmarks to assess Customer to Contract performance.
- Monitor process health using process mining and performance dashboards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and digitization efforts
Transformation & Enablement
- Act as a critical partner to ERP transformation (Magellan), ensuring alignment between global process design and technology implementation.
- Coordinate the deployment and enablement of the global template at the local level, including change impact assessments, training, and data readiness activities Act as Advance point of contact.
Innovation & Technology Integration
- Guide the implementation of enabling technologies beyond ERP, including RPA, AI/ML, process mining, and task mining.
- Partner with enterprise architecture and systems teams to shape and validate technology strategies.
Quality System Commitment:
- Compliance with Quality Policy and documented quality processes, including expectations for leaders who supervise others
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in global process leadership, transformation, or operations in a relevant function (Order Management, Order to Cash, Service, Finance).
- Proven track record managing cross-functional, global initiatives with significant scale and complexity.
- Deep knowledge of ERP systems (S4 HANA preferred) and surrounding application ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop governance models, lead diverse teams, and influence executive stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using performance metrics, dashboards, and digital process tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, or related field
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:
- Master’s degree
- Prior experience in medical devices or highly regulated industries a plus.
- Strong communicator with executive presence and a bias for action.
- Passionate about simplification, digitization, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable operating in matrixed, fast-paced environments with a global footprint.
- Skilled in design thinking, agile methodologies, and change leadership.
- Collaborative influencer who engages, persuades, and challenges with integrity and courage.
