This position can be located in Marlborough, MA or Minnetonka, MN.

 

About the Role:

 

At Boston Scientific the Global Supply Chain Manager II is responsible for worldwide inventory and supply chain performance for the Stone Franchise within the Urology/Pelvic Health division of Boston Scientific. The leader will possess the skills and aptitude required to lead a team and provide cross functional supply chain support to key stakeholders (Marketing, Country Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution).  He/She will demonstrate a high level of decision-making, influencing, and prioritization skills and will have the ability to work autonomously in a fast paced, dynamic professional environment.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

 

Demand Planning

  • Lead SI&OP process for the business and drive the decision-making process.
  • Manage and provide work direction to Global Supply Chain Demand Planners and Analysts.
  • Review statistically generated forecasts with Marketing and Finance and drive consensus forecast creation.
  • Review safety stock targets and approve changes, noting input elements resulting in change.
  • Work with Global Marketing, Country Demand Planning, and Country Operations groups to identify all known demand sources (customer orders, scheduling agreements, distributor shipment, consignment, etc.)
     

New Product Launch Management

  • Support and guide strategy direct reports as Core Team Members on New Product Development Team.
  • Develop launch plans, including forecasts, inventory targets, cannibalization plans, and introduction schedules with support of stakeholders.
  • Create new item launch strategies, prepare distribution chain, and track new product launch vs plan.
     

Inventory Management

  • Lead the development of inventory plans.
  • Diagnose excesses to inventory objectives and develop plan and hold teams accountable to remediate.  Calculate and report on scrap and obsolescence risk.
     

Supply Chain Execution

  • Act as key member of the Franchise Leadership Team responsible for service level, inventory levels, and overall coordination of supply chain activities.
  • Achieve performance metrics: Service Level; Backorder; Inventory; Forecast Accuracy; Forecast Bias
  • Drive execution of end-to-end supply chain by supporting the planning processes utilizing Rapid Response (Advanced Planning System)
  • Collaborate with and influence outcomes with internal and external manufacturing sites to ensure adequate supply to support global demand plans.
  • Diagnose service level failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

What We’re Looking For:
 

Required Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field/equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, materials management, manufacturing planning or inventory control function.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully interact and influence at all levels of the organization both domestically and internationally.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker and self-starter.
  • Consistently performs to a high level of accuracy in all tasks and has high attention to detail.
  • Highly adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and able to make efficient decisions.
  • Working knowledge of DRP, MRP, and MPS.

     

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Master’s degree
  • APICS certification – CPIM or CSCP
  • Experience utilizing SAP or other ERP systems
  • Experience utilizing Rapid Response or other Advance Planning Systems.
  • JIT experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Continuous improvement experience including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing
