About the role:
Boston Scientific’s Urology division is seeking a strategic and experienced Group Manager, Capital Strategy to lead a team in its efforts to transform how we sell, support, and manage capital equipment. This role will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure our capital equipment launches are successful, operational processes are streamlined, and technology is leveraged to simplify and enhance the value we provide to our customers. A deep understanding of customer, employee, and market needs, alongside functional awareness and data-driven insights, will guide your strategies, ensuring that our approaches are aligned with business objectives and evolving global market trends.

 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that embodies Boston Scientific’s core values. Cultivate an environment where team members feel valued, included, and empowered to contribute their best work.
  • Play a critical role in supporting and optimizing the launch of capital equipment. Develop comprehensive strategies focused on operational readiness, customer understanding, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful, seamless product launches that meet customer needs.
  • Define, develop, and execute strategies to improve the customer journey, enhance value, and foster long-term loyalty by improving service levels and operational efficiency. Leverages voice of the customer, industry best practices and data into initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in internal operations by aligning processes and systems to better serve customers and streamline workflows.
  • Leverage technology to simplify business operations and enhance the value delivered to customers, focusing on efficiency and innovation.
  • Lead change management efforts to introduce and integrate new processes, competencies, and tools into the division, ensuring smooth transitions and successful adoption.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the Urology division and other departments as we expand into software, interconnected capital equipment, and remote connectivity.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape and execute the long-term strategy for capital equipment, aligning with the division’s goals for growth and innovation.
  • Champion Capital Excellence vision across all parties who participate in Capital Equipment development, from ideation to end-of-life.
  • Collaborate with international teams to address region-specific challenges and opportunities.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years in capital strategy, product management, marketing, or consulting
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and executing business strategies in a matrixed organization
  • 3+ years of related medical device experience 
  • Willingness to travel (~10%)

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA)
  • Experience in the urology field, focusing on capital equipment
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, high-performing teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills to understand market trends and customer needs
  • Experience in digital innovation for capital equipment or medical technologies.
