Learning Design Manager I
About the role:
The Group Manager of Learning & Design leads the L&D Team to develop, design and administer, training content, programs and meetings for the Urology field selling organization. Establishes and executes sales training measurements of success, ROI, and methods for program improvements. Manages the maintenance of all training materials. Develops capabilities of individuals on the L&D team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Works with the Director of Global Sales Training/Programs, Manager of Sales Training, VP of Sales, Directors of Sales (DOS), and Global Sales Training Team on various strategic projects that will develop the Urology sales team.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Learning Design, Regulatory, Legal to influence and execute Global Training strategy.
- Work with Finance, Global Director of Training to manage global training budget.
- Develop a Global Sales Training Strategy to develop relevant and current sales training content
- Supports planning and execution of all major national and divisional sales meetings
- Work with the Sales Training Manager team in the design, development and execution of national and divisional sales meetings.
- Work with Directors of Marketing, Product Managers and the Marketing Development Team on various strategic projects, new product launches and special product promotions.
- Work closely with the Directors of Sales and the Director of Sales Training on various strategic projects.
- With the Manager of Sales Training assess division needs and teaching methods to continuously improve sales productivity.
- Work with Talent Development team to build and align development curriculum and learning pathways for FSO
- Maintains knowledge of the industry and the competition to modify and prioritize sales training strategies and delivery methods
- Responsible for providing continuous tools and education to team members.
- Ensure all meeting and training materials meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Define training standards and measurement tools to measure performance.
- Routinely participate in development programs to further the L&D team readiness for additional responsibilities.
- Influence broad strategy as it relates to digital adoption and new training technology for the FSO
- Spends approximately 50% of their time managing the L&D team, 30% of their time on special projects for Sales Training and personal development, and 20% of their time in the field to understand the current business needs for future training, special projects and programs.
Quality System Requirements
In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MA/MS in business discipline or equivalent experience
- Previous management experience in learning, sales and/or marketing or previous experience with training development and design
- Minimum 3 years medical device, healthcare experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/consultants
- Strong project management experience and strategic thinking skills
- Preferred background in people management
- Must possess the ability to determine and set direction.
- Must be able to build and maintain strong customer and team relationships
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented
- Ability to grasp technical content
- Results-oriented team player
- Excels in fast-paced, competitive environment
