About the role:
We're seeking a dynamic leader to drive patient engagement through innovative marketing technology as our Group Marketing Manager, Patient Marketing & Technology. This role is focused on designing and delivering personalized, data-driven marketing experiences that guide individuals living with obesity through education and treatment decision journey.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in digital health, CRM platforms, marketing automation, and patient journey mapping. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of our bariatric and obesity-related medical devices, enhancing both patient and provider engagement.

 

Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own and evolve the marketing technology roadmap to support patient engagement, education, and support from consult through post-procedure.
  • Lead cross-functional innovation initiatives that modernize how we educate, support, and empower patients.
  • Define KPIs and performance dashboards to measure patient marketing impact.
  • Execute key stakeholder management, communication and change management
  • Hire, develop and lead a high performing marketing technology team
  • Develop and execute a 5-year strategic plan for the EndoBariatrics business, focusing on the Patient Experience segment.
  • Recognize global healthcare trends and create adaptable commercial offerings
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ideate potential offerings and value propositions.
  • Lead market research to support program development and commercialization efforts.
  • Identify market gaps and unmet customer needs using cross functional resources and teams.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and evaluate strategic alignment with the commercial team
  • Utilize strong market modeling skills and conduct sensitivity analyses on assumptions.
  • Use marketing frameworks and insights to craft commercial strategies, including value propositions, product demos, educational programs, and publication plans.
  • Assess 3rd-party solutions to align with the EndoBariatrics Patient Experience strategy.
  • Guide complex solution development from concept to completion.
  • Lead pricing and adoption strategies, including subscription and tiered pricing models.
  • Develop and oversee omni-channel marketing strategies (email, SMS, web, social) tailored to various stages of the patient journey.
  • Leverage segmentation and behavioral data to deliver personalized and impactful messaging.
  • Support provider education teams by generating well-informed patients ready for consultations.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of MarTech platforms, including CRM, marketing automation, patient portals, and call center integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT and digital teams to ensure smooth interoperability across platforms.
  • Stay ahead of trends in digital health, AI in patient engagement, and obesity care solutions.
  • Conduct market research and patient insights studies to inform program development.
  • Leverage established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to drive education, market adoption, and innovation.
  • Partner with clinical, legal, regulatory, sales, and provider marketing teams to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Build global credibility with key internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage partnerships and collaborations with external partners.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of product management
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
  • Experience in medical device with full lifecycle solution and product implementations.
  • Familiarity with patient and healthcare professional-facing digital platforms & applications.
  • Proven track record in commercializing digital products and related professional services.
  • Experience in product management and strategy development, especially for direct-to-consumer or direct-to-patient products.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies or other software development methods (e.g., waterfall).
  • Background in healthcare digital, deep learning, and applied AI technologies (e.g., NLP, LLM, generative AI).
  • Experience in evaluating, developing, and managing strategic partnerships, including familiarity with SLAs.
  • Ability to develop economic arguments to influence purchasing decisions in hospitals and surgery centers; experience in the domestic surgery center market and/or key international markets is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and globally up to 35%

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
