About the role:
The Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) Analyst III will work in close collaboration with stakeholders in Interventional Cardiology Therapies to support market access and reimbursement strategy across the coronary therapies franchise, including emerging site of care strategies, MAC engagement strategies, Medicare payment policy tracking, and regional commercial payer engagement strategies.
Successful candidates will have a foundation in coding, coverage and payment policies related to coronary therapies, and insights regarding the competitive landscape across imaging, vessel prep and drug eluting therapies. Candidates will exhibit strong communication skills, self-initiation, and a commitment to responsible and efficient collaboration. The role is ideal for high-performance individuals who excel in a fast-paced environment.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in the Boston Scientific headquarters office in Marlborough, MA, at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the systemic tracking and documentation of all MACs’ policy development process and in partnership with Global HEMA establishing contacts with chief medical officers to enable closer MAC engagement across the coronary therapy portfolio
- In partnership with ICTx HEMA partners, lead the engagement with regional commercial payers to enable closer payer engagement across the coronary therapy portfolio
- Lead coronary therapy ASC reimbursement landscape assessment to facilitate business priority settings in partnership with functional partners.
- Systemically track and document CMS’s annual payment policy updates and competitor insights in IPPS, OPPS/ASC and PFS (e.g. NTAPs, TPTs, New Tech APC) and ongoing LCD updates impacting existing and future coronary therapy portfolio.
- Develop in partnership with Market Access HEMA Director to develop training modules for current and future coronary therapy product leads (payment, coverage, coding, CMS & CPT & MAC advocacy calendar, product-based “must-knows”, stakeholder map)
- Support HEMA Product Leads in the development and execution of high priority strategies.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably with coursework in one of the following areas: health economics, public health, epidemiology, health care management, statistics, data science, business analytics, computer science, data engineering
- 2+ years of work experience in the healthcare field
- Intermediate or advanced health policy analysis experience
- Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and fast learning
- Ability to work well in a team environment but can also work independently after initial guidance
- Time management skills with ability to manage multiple internal client-related priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in medical device market access
- Familiar with Medicare reimbursement and policies
- Master’s or other graduate degree in one of the following areas: health economics, public health, epidemiology, health care management, statistics, data science, business analytics, computer science, data engineering
