About the Role:
At Boston Scientific, we advance science for life by tackling healthcare’s toughest challenges. As the Global Policy Lead, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a high-performance culture and collaborating with a global network of stakeholders to develop policies that align with our mission and values.
In this role, you'll support the Director of Policy in advancing our global policy strategy, focusing on governance, creation, and implementation. Your responsibilities will include leading and coordinating global policy efforts to ensure compliance, alignment, and consistency with the HR operating model. You’ll manage the Global Policy Committee, execute policy initiatives, align regional and functional practices, and consult with global partners to deliver efficient and adaptable policies. Additionally, you'll handle policy updates and related projects as needed.
Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Policy Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead the Global Policy Committee, fostering collaboration, alignment, and informed decision-making across regions and functions.
- Manage global policy updates and rollouts, ensuring consistency with the HR operating model and harmonized processes.
- Connect stakeholders to identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive alignment in policy practices globally.
Consultation and Compliance:
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to address policy needs aligned with compliance requirements and business objectives.
- Provide expertise on governance frameworks, delivering actionable recommendations for effective policy implementation.
- Monitor regulatory and industry trends to maintain compliant and adaptable policies.
Policy Project Management:
- Oversee projects for policy updates, rollouts, and communications, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables, tracking progress and resolving roadblocks.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of policy initiatives.
Partnership and Alignment:
- Support the Director of Policy in achieving long-term goals and aligning policies with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and other functions to operationalize policies effectively.
- Facilitate alignment among global and regional stakeholders, addressing local needs within a consistent framework.
Problem Solving:
- Assist in resolving complex policy issues by balancing global consistency with regional adaptability.
- Independently identify and address challenges in policy execution, delivering effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the Global Policy Committee and other partners for informed decision-making.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement enhancements to policy frameworks and processes for greater efficiency and compliance.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve global policies.
- Analyze policy performance and trends to recommend updates and improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in global policy execution, governance, compliance, and project management.
- Knowledge of global policy frameworks, governance practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading policy-related projects, including updates, rollouts, and cross-functional initiatives, with measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to consult with stakeholders to ensure policies align with operational needs and regional requirements.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong coordination and communication skills to connect teams, processes, and stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to evaluate trends, solve problems, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Self-motivated, capable of independently executing deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Results-oriented, with a track record of delivering outcomes and fostering alignment across teams and regions.
- Problem-solving ability to balance global consistency and regional flexibility effectively.
