About the role

Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for an experienced FCPR - Hyperion Product Manager. In this role you will participate on and act as a product leader for global Hyperion platform, implementing new functionalities and helping to build key capabilities.

 

  • Act as a Hyperion product leader and design and deliver innovative, creative solutions for the Hyperion platform.
  • The role will support finance organization and create a trusted source of financial information for internal and external reporting.
  • Track progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables while managing risks and issues.
  • Develop expertise in finance space and Hyperion technology solutions in order to lead.
  • Continue to leverage technology systems to support the company’s success and overall goals.
  • This individual should be highly motivated with functional and technical expertise, as well as excellent analysis and execution skills.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Incorporate Agile, Lean, and User Centered Design methodologies to execute on product development, implementation and operations.
  • Serve as a Product Manager in a balanced team developing Hyperion Finance solutions and products.
  • Help establish dedicated, co-located product teams, consisting of Product Managers, Product Owners, and Analysts.
  • Partner with Designers to lead kickoff, Discovery and Framing, and other exploratory activities for each project.
  • Articulate Product Vision and Strategy to the team, to stakeholders, and to external parties.
  • Establish Product Roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners.
  • Establish and track measurable objectives for the team.
  • Responsible for product development prioritization and decisions on releases, as a result of a close partnership with developers, end users and the business.
  • Informs product decisions by collecting and prioritizing designer, analysts/engineer and business stakeholder input
  • Writes user stories, maintain & manage backlog, continually de-risk the product direction formalize product features and design.
  • Holds team meetings (Standup, IPMIteration Planning Meeting, Retro) and help plan and facilitate stakeholder and end-user meetings/interviews.
  • Defines product vision, strategy, and roadmap, business model, MVP.
  • Adjusts direction based on data, customer feedback, and business stakeholder feedback.
  • Communicates product updates back to business stakeholders through frequent communications.
  • Ensures continuous compliance throughout product development by engaging and sharing with appropriate stakeholders as applicable (quality, regulatory, privacy, security, etc.).
  • Collaborate with divisional stakeholders on strategy, optimal product definition and the Agile, Lean, DevOps process and culture.
  • Help maintain team culture and communication.
  • Work with colleagues in IT, and partner with Quality, Regulatory, HR, Legal, and Finance to drive the adoption of modern Lean/Agile/DevOps practices.
  • Build trust with stakeholders, working through difficult transitions to agile best practices.
  • Develop and maintain healthy product teams while maintaining a sustainable pace.
  • Manage product interconnectivity and system integrations, disease states; capable of learning rapidly to fill any knowledge gaps

Hyperion Skills

  • Experience in at least three full lifecycle engagements of Hyperion Consolidation and/or Planning and Budgeting applications and implementation of Reporting Applications and its integration with financial applications.
  • Support the Planning/Budgeting and Financial Close consolidation processes for the Oracle EPM environment.
  • Extensive experience with Smartview, Data forms, and Web Forms; Ability to assess & diagnose data issues and fix.
  • Experience with data conversion and loading source data into Hyperion.
  • Must have experience moving data between Hyperion Modules (e.g. Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management)
  • Supporting the Troubleshooting of issues within the overnight load processes and diagnose issues.
  • Experience with managing metadata, Hyperion Security and Task Lists.
  • Solid knowledge/hands on experience with Business Rules, Essbase scripts and batch & maxl scripts.
  • Solid knowledge/hands on experience of HFM and FDMEE, specifically 
    • Rule enhancements & development experience
    • Edit and/or write Forms/Grids
    • Set-up, manage and troubleshoot FDMEE mappings & processes
  • Financial report understanding and experience - Build/ Enhance/Troubleshoot Financial Reports and Web Analysis as needed
  • Ability to create, update, and review functional and technical documents.
  • Ability to develop test data, test scripts and execute comprehensive testing of integrated systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both native security and Shared Services security.
  • Provide support and execute internal audit and Sox requirements.
  • Maintains and continuously upgrades her/his knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle technologies, finance, external competitive landscape, Audits/Sox etc.

Basic  Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business process & system analysis role and managing large IT projects.
  • Extensive Hyperion admin & project experience.
  • Experience partnering with IT, Vendor and/or Business Customers on projects.
  • Experience working in an agile team.
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic and fast learner.
  • Proven ability to navigate organizational network to get to the right person.
  • Being imaginative & having high creative quotient.
  • Creative thinker to look for continued ways to utilize and optimize capabilities of the system.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones.
  • Understanding of SOX and other Management Controls.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in related field.
  • Experience working on large scale projects.
  • Experience in Product Teams, Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience working on solutions in a controlled environment.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Past experience in Finance and Audit-Sox space.
