About the role: 

The primary responsibility of this IT Manager role is to lead the SAP application remediation extended team within IT Make and Supply.  BSC is undergoing a transformative upgrade of our SAP estate, moving from ECC6 to S4/Hana (the project is code-named: Magellan).  This role will partner with the Magellan value streams (inbound, outbound, manufacturing, quality, etc.) and the BSC business divisions to understand priorities, and apply agile and lean concepts to deliver solutions that will bring increased value, capabilities and a competitive advantage to our business. This leader will be responsible for managing delivery and continuous development across multiple Product Teams.


Your responsibilities include: 

  • Partner with leaders from the Business, Magellan Office of One and Make & Supply Product Teams to establish objectives, goals, and priorities for Magellan MARET delivery and any required ongoing support.
  • Responsible for staffing and developing Product Teams comprised of scrum masters, designers/analysts, and engineers/developers. Devotes a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership and employee development responsibilities.
  • Responsible for ongoing support and delivering on future enhancements (through Product Team Model).
  • Develops and manages to budgets, schedules and performance standards, tracking accountability of team to objectives.
  • Manages relationships with software vendors and influences their product roadmap.
  • Ensures deliverables meet or exceed service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, performance and budget.
  • Works collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across multiple stakeholders, project priorities, and organizational initiatives.
  • Responsible for providing regular updates to IT and business executives regarding the strategic vision and execution status. 


What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT and partnering with business stakeholders
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining a strong relationship with IT partners, and software vendors
  • Proven ability to deliver IT solutions in a regulated environment
  • Strong project management background, with experience leading large-scale initiatives
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Strong people management experience
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic and fast learner
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Contracting/Revenue Management processes and systems, including Contract Lifecycle Management and Configure Price Quote products
  • Experience in managing Product Teams and SCRUM methodologies
  • Understanding of Sox and other Management Controls
  • Past management experience providing leadership, development and coaching to high performing team
