Innovation Lab Manager - Endoscopy

As Innovation Lab Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team across R&D labs, machine shop and equipment within the Endoscopy (Endo) division of Boston Scientific
In this role you will interact with every project team within Endoscopy. There is exposure and collaboration across the entire organization from Marlborough to Costa Rica to Ireland to India and beyond.
There is a real sense of ownership as the go-to contact for the organization’s testing, equipment, fixturing, and lab needs. You will use, research, and purchase state-of-the-art equipment that is used to develop life-saving medical devices.
In this role, each day presents a new challenge and you learn creative problem solving skills across many competencies including engineering, facilities maintenance, project management, and people management
Your responsibilities include:
- Hiring, coaching, and/or developing machinists, technicians, and other technical employees.
- Overseeing staffing levels and budgets
- Developing equipment plans and needs aligning with strategic growth of the business
- Managing workflows for areas of responsibility. Will supervise non-exempt employees and collaborate with external partners
- Fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

- Keeping the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
- Demonstrating effective change leadership
- Building strategic partnerships across Boston Scientific to further departmental and organizational objectives
- Developing and executing organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
- Monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
- Making decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of work experience managing people (business or military)
- Experience with labs and/or machine shop methodologies
- Ability to manage a diverse group of employees
- Budgetary experience
- Demonstrated capability to produce innovative solutions across many competencies including engineering, facilities maintenance, project management, and people management.
- Personal drive, individual accountability & a strong bias for action.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated leadership in recent role
- Willingness to work onsite at our Marlboro, MA location 3+ days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in regulated environment (medical, military, or defense)
- Military positions that would align with this role: Unit Supply Sergent, Logistics Officer, Quartermaster Officer, Ordinance Office, Maintenance Officer or possibly Engineering Officer.

Base Salary Range
Minimum Salary: $ 103700
Maximum Salary: $ 197000
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for exempt roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
