About the role:

Boston Scientific is recruiting for an agile, business-minded, passionate communicator to join our growing team. We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager who can make meaningful contributions to our organization through strategic communications that engage and empower our employees and help drive the business forward.


This position reports into the Corporate Communications team and will partner closely with R&D and Commercial leadership within the company’s Endoscopy business. As the Endo division is based at the company’s Marlborough, MA headquarters, we are seeking candidates who can commit to working from the Marlborough office at least a few days a month, with the option to work remotely or have in-office work accommodations for the balance of the month.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as counselor and thought partner to Endoscopy R&D, Sales, and Marketing leadership on functional messaging, communication strategies, tactics, and approach.
  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies for the Endoscopy R&D, Sales, and Marketing organizations that inform, inspire, and engage employees and drive alignment to organizational strategies and goals.
  • Enable new and effective methods for delivering engaging, two-way internal communications on business strategy, priorities, team successes, and culture.
  • Develop and execute an editorial plan and ongoing cadence of communications for core internal audiences that align to divisional and executive communication strategies and messaging platforms.
  • Identify gaps in organizational communication and implement solutions to help drive cross-functional collaboration and the achievement of top business priorities.
  • Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners on organizational change communications and other business-critical change management efforts.
  • Provide project management and tactical support to ensure the timely completion of high-quality deliverables.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications team members to identify divisional stories to elevate as part of a corporate narrative reaching global employees and key external audiences.
  • Coordinate and manage the cross-functional review and approval of content with company executives, divisional marketing, clinical, legal and regulatory leaders.


What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of employee engagement and leadership communications within a corporate or agency environment. Healthcare communications experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates broad experience developing, executing and cascading strategic communications plans focused on employee engagement, change management and thought leadership.
  • Regarded as a self-starter who consistently sets high standards and demonstrates a sense of urgency and personal accountability.
  • Performs as a solutions-oriented professional willing to propose new ideas and maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities.
  • Provides strategic counsel at all levels of the organization to ensure tailored messages are delivered to varying audiences by leveraging a variety of communication channels.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication competencies with strong editing and proofreading capabilities.
  • Demonstrates business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and translate complex ideas into a digestible format.
  • Excels at project management, planning and time-management skills.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence and is adept at consensus-building and incorporating differing viewpoints into recommendations.
  • Adept at working in a team environment while also displaying independence, initiative and enterprise.
