About the Role:
The Finance team is seeking an Associate Project Manager for the global finance innovation initiative, Finance Forward. The Associate Project Manager will play a key role in driving multiple connected projects that will deliver sustainable improvements across our financial processes and capabilities to scale for future growth. This role will interface with the finance leadership team in creating and implementing change management strategies within the organization. They will work to ensure future projects are tied to advancing finance strategy while inspiring, driving, and supporting continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to be located at multiple BSC locations. Remote candidates may be considered.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee the planning, execution and tracking of multiple projects/workstreams that will feed into the overall Finance Forward initiative.
  • Understand interdependencies between assigned workstreams and identify risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and resource constraints.
  • Influence cross-functional, cross-divisional and cross-regional teams (internal and external) to execute on deliverables, timelines, resources, etc.
  • Develop and deliver project recommendations to stakeholders; develop implementation strategy and plan. Provide regular communication to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project team meetings and workshops – drive agenda, keep conversations to objectives and document key decisions.
  • Lead the team in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications.
  • Elevate issues and clear barriers to the project team’s progress. Quickly resolve conflicts and involve functional management as required.
  • Serve as a change agent and provide guidance in the implementation of change management principles.
  • Capture, apply and share best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
  • Develop measures of success and key performance indicators for measuring value improvement with reporting.
  • Partner with project team members, influencing them to take positive action and accountability.
  • Work cross-culturally motivating teams in the development and adoption of global best practices.
  • Coordinate with other Global Finance initiatives such as SAP S4 implementation, Enterprise Performance Management and Project & Portfolio Management implementations (understanding overall objectives, timelines, resource needs and any potential areas of overlap).
  • Build and grow cross-functional relationships vital to success of Finance Forward.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree plus at least 2-4 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Project Management experience of at least 2 years.
  • Demonstrated project management skills: organizing, reporting, and tracking.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive and influence change without authority.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; skilled at project scoping and problem-solving to meet internal customers’ needs; proven ability to work through roadblocks; demonstrated critical thinking skills; analytical and process driven.
  • Self-starter and quick learner, willing to delve deeply into project details.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact with all levels within the global organization and with any external partner relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in at least one of these areas: Kaizen and/or workshop facilitation, change management, process improvement.
  • A desire and commitment to meaningfully contribute to organizational culture.
  • Proven results applying lean process improvement in enterprise-wide and transactional environments.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • PMP certification.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or similar.

Maximum Salary: $164500 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
