Learning Platform Specialist – Learning Management System Administrator


About the role:

The Learning Platform Specialist – LMS Administrator is accountable for functional and technical support of the learning management system (EndoLearn – Endoscopy Sales LMS) and Adobe Connect platforms.  This individual will handle overall system administration, content management, learner management, course assignment protocols, and reporting tools in the system.  The LMS administrator serves as the focal point for customer (Endoscopy sales teams) learning rollout and troubleshooting, learning teams, technology teams (internal and external) and vendor partners. They ensure compliance with process, technology, and data requirements according to system governance. You will ensure that our learning infrastructure meets the needs of the business, supports operational efficiency, and can scale with the future growth of our business.  The individual demonstrates understanding of technical constraints and opportunities, and optimally, have skills in programming in modern technologies.  They have familiarity with learning technology systems and protocols, and importantly, are obsessed with creating an excellent user experience. The Learning Technologist will work closely with instructional designers and other members of the team through a thoughtful, holistic approach to assessing, prioritizing, and evaluating learning technology requirements.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the daily operation and use of EndoLearn, including establishing curricula, users, user groups and other artifacts
  • Monitoring and reviewing quarterly EndoLearn enhancements/changes and communicating with stakeholders to develop an appropriate rollout plan
  • Collaborating with the instructional design team members on technical needs and opportunities to enhance the user experience as it relates to EndoLearn
  • Resolving technical support requests with the system
  • Recommending technology or workflow solutions on how to best leverage EndoLearn to efficiently deliver and track learning to meet organizational objectives
  • Identifying and managing possible usage of learning content in support of business goals including implementation of social learning community, gamification (badges), etc. within EndoLearn for user experience and functionality
  • Designing, maintaining and distributing reports within the system
  • Identifying and communicating potential opportunities for process and quality improvements
  • Oversee and execute implementation of the Adobe Captivate Prime, branded EndoLearn, and manage and perform day-to-day operations and support of the system.
  • Perform administrator duties connected with Adobe Captivate Prime (EndoLearn) and Adobe Connect Classroom environment and integration with other technologies, such as SFDC, power BI, Tableau, HRIS.
  •  Assist instructional designers, managers of sales training, and on-boarding administrator with set-up of virtual classrooms, including creating and managing instances of virtual classes
  • Partner with instructional designers and with a diverse group of stakeholders to understand learning needs and implement technology solutions for use in a variety of learning interventions.
  • In collaboration with instructional designers and other stakeholders, create and maintain SOPs and governance.
  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for EndoLearn, and answer questions and trouble shoot issues for the system in a timely manner.
  • Establish, monitor, and support best practices for EndoLearn use across customers and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain EndoLearn training/job aids.
  • Train key stakeholders on EndoLearn functionality.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for users regarding logging in to the LMS and accessing courses.
  • Serve as point of escalation for support issues, which may include interaction with LMS vendor and other vendor support services.



  • Manage new user and learner onboarding in partnership with the on-boarding administrator
  • Maintain releases and automatic updates, communicating updates to learning community of content publishers and admins
  • Manage implementation and maintenance of branding and layout
  • Lead the creation, documentation, and training of LMS standards, policies, and procedures; maintain data integrity rules and processes
  • Monitor system usage and generates reports for assessment and data-driven decision making
  • Manage learner transcripts
  • Implement a testing strategy and process for new course/content upload and quality assurance
  • Curriculum Development & Production
  • Collaborate with instructional designers on technology solutions for learning modules.
  • Upload and maintain e-learning objects, interactions, tutorials, and knowledge checks. Responsibilities may include prototyping, editing, testing, and deployment.
  • Act as an internal consultant by analyzing data and recommending solutions to best use the LMS to deliver, track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives.
  • Create and manage the overall course structure and set up course programs based on specifications from instructional designers.
  • Manage tracking of course revisions and history.
  • Work with the instructional designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to course content

What we are looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technology, Informational Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an LMS administrator or experience equivalency
  • Experience as administrator of Adobe Captivate Prime
  • Familiarity with course design and development.
  • Strong analytical skills in identifying technical problems
  • Familiarity with user roles and permissions, problems, implementation, maintenance of courses, and troubleshooting user problems in learning management systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with setting up feeds, APIs and other integrations with Learning Technology
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and the willingness to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: can articulate thoughts and ideas (technical and non-technical) clearly, concisely, and persuasively 
  • Experience with industry standards such as LTI, XAPI, and SCORM.
  • Working knowledge of web design technologies such as HTML and JavaScript.
