Senior Global Product Manager


About the role

The Senior Global Product Manager (SPM) will manage key downstream activities for our Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) Franchise focused on our Portfolio Strategy, communication, and segmentation. The Portfolio currently includes Greenlight Laser Therapy, which contributes over $90MM globally and Rezūm Water Vapor Therapy that is growing rapidly and currently contributes over $50MM globally.  The Senior Product Manager plays a key role in setting and executing the global commercialization franchise strategy based on their expert knowledge of market, competition and clinical trends.  The Senior Product Manager will lead downstream marketing initiatives and work collaboratively with our global marketing counterparts to accelerate the growth of the full BPH Portfolio.  This person is an experienced marketer and demonstrates strength in franchise management, product lifecycle management including new product development, product launches, commercialization, forecasting, and demonstrates a high level of business acumen. This person will collaborate with the broader Urology Product Management Team on key projects and best-practice learning and sharing. This individual will have experience working cross-functionally, partnering with the global Sales teams, and have the ability to manage and develop physician partnerships.


 This role will place a heavy emphasis on:

  • Product commercialization and international launches of a new therapy
  • Downstream marketing and sales programs development and implementation
  • Cross-functional leadership; and being viewed as subject matter expert (SME) for assigned products, surgical practices and the BPH market
  • Relationship building with key physicians and with key internal and external stakeholders globally
  • Business acumen, strategy creation, and executional excellence


 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creates innovative downstream marketing solutions, programs and tools to create value and support the needs of the sales and regional teams
  • Develops deep understanding of competitors and leads competitive action and response plans
  • Demonstrates command of clinical literature and knowledge. Develops strong clinical arguments in collaboration with Clinical Sciences and Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) on franchise evidence strategy and execution. 
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for assigned products. In collaboration with sales operations and regional marketing solutions, creates effective sales programs to drive product adoption
  • Spends time in the field to gain global market and clinical insights, as well as build relationships with key global physicians to execute critical franchise & business initiatives
  • Partners with the BPH patient marketing team in aligning strategies and execution of physician and patient programs
  • Work with Digital and Social marketing counterparts in conjunction with Integrated Communications team to develop, implement, and promote digital communication and engagement with Health Care Providers
  • Develops global relationships and builds credibility with key internal cross-functional stakeholders
  • Identify needs for future product development areas for the BPH portfolio.


 What we’re looking for in you:

 Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in upstream and/or downstream marketing or sales experience
  • Experience managing products that are medically/clinically oriented; medical device experience a plus, but not required
  • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience creating impactful marketing plans, and developing value propositions, positioning and targeting
  • Experience building relationships with key customers and cross-functional partners focused on the sales organization
  • Work with a global mindset; have the capability of working with global colleagues to build robust commercialization plans
