Sr. Talent Acquisition Diversity & Inclusion Program Manager

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Diversity & Inclusion Program Manager is a key role at Boston Scientific and plays a critical and visible part in developing unique, targeted sourcing strategies, as well as enabling the talent team to successfully tap into diverse candidate pools. The incumbent will advise and lend their expertise in addressing challenges that hinder the progress of attracting, assessing, and hiring diverse candidates for open positions through influence and inspiration. Reporting to the Global Director of Talent Acquisition, this role is responsible for developing and executing our talent attraction diversity strategy and building relationships with key partners with the focused diversity goals of attracting females and talent from under-represented ethnic groups, differently abled, members of the LGBTQ community and military veterans into key roles within the organization. You will serve as a key partner for our University Relations and Diversity & Inclusion teams to establish our strategy for targeted conferences and identify branding and engagement opportunities to further position Boston Scientific as a diversity-friendly employer, innovator and leader in the medical device industry.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develops strategic plan, recommendations, and provides project management direction and support for national conference partnerships to effectively source, attract, and engage diverse talent pools (ERG’s) and the various diversity counsels to drive awareness, build strategies and support diverse hiring efforts
  • Partner, consult and collaborate with Partners with key stakeholders (Functional Business Unit Leaders, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Managers) to determine future talent needs and set and drive enabling diversity sourcing strategies
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to identify, evaluate and implement recruiting partnerships at the national level to develop pipelines of diverse, female, disabled, LGBTQ and military veteran talent that support our Affirmative Action and EEO plans and identifies talent for under-presented functions to build our future leadership pipeline
  • Partners with University Relations Specialists, Talent Management and TA Managers to identify critical talent needs, high priority positions and under-represented populations within the organization to target via our conference events
  • Partners with Employee Resource Groups HRBP’s, D&I consultants, and TA managers to drive/refine/shape their Divisional, Functional, team Diverse Talent Acquisition Strategy
  • Develops innovative approaches to developing and implementing initiatives that support a culture of inclusion and belonging that further drives our talent attraction strategies
  • Remains current on D&I trends, best practices and program development and introduce approaches in alignment with the strategic plan, mission, vision and values
  • Provides recommendations on partnerships, events, and tools that deliver impact and support our Diversity & Inclusion talent attraction strategies targeting diverse audiences.
  • Works with D&I team to identify Executive Sponsors for diversity partner organizations, to support initiatives, engage with external partner leadership, promote employee engagement and resource support by BSC business divisions and functions, and drive hiring outcomes and accountability.
  • Reports and delivers event outcomes to determine value of investments and future attendance.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities to event management and recruitment processes in support of national (local, regional) conferences.
  • Partners with Recruitment Marketing SME to drive awareness for all events
  • Establishes and measures key performance for all the D&I staffing and events initiatives and reports diversity recruiting efforts (ROI) and outcomes to HR Leadership Team, D&I Consultants, Executive Sponsors, Functional Champions, Talent Acquisition, and event volunteers. Evaluate Success on annual basis (Gap analysis)
  • Drives consistent and united messaging for our businesses, teams and cross-functional partners
  • Partners with marketing and communications stakeholders on effective internal and external communication and branding around talent attraction diversity strategies, commitments, updates and community involvement opportunities

 

What we’re looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline; Master’s preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading talent acquisition related diversity and inclusion programs
  • At least three years’ experience managing relationships with a myriad of professional organizations and external vendors relationships
  • Working knowledge of affirmative action plans and priorities
  • Success developing metrics, reporting and delivering executive presentations
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse professional associations and organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with peers and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to influence without authority
  • Strong planning, time management and organizational skills, with critical attention to detail
  • Leverages creative thinking, problem solves and generates successful solutions through strategic agility
  • Ability to build credible, effective relationships with stakeholders and hiring managers
