The BSC Urology-PH Business Development Manager is a highly esteemed position within the URO-PH selling organization.  This role requires a highly collaborative mindset and exceptional communication skills to consistently deliver customer value and meeting organizational objectives.

 

Individuals will exhibit strong sales performance, clinical and economic excellence, and the ability to foster and develop key relationships.  This person will be responsible for uncovering current and future customers needs and goals and driving sales revenue to exceed division priorities, define and develop new business opportunities that clearly reflect the company’s vision and priorities, as well as contribute to overall national accounts team’s success.  Additionally, he/she will have experience and be comfortable in the Operating Room and C-Suite settings and he/she will manage their position with integrity and in accordance with our Code of Conduct.


Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sales and Sales Collaboration with all Urology-PH franchise stakeholders to determine targets and opportunities in need of this Divisional resource
  • Establish vertical relationships within targeted customers for contract and clinical execution.
  • Coordination of strategic and messaging within the assigned targeted customer.
  • Delivering Value beyond economic strategies during the life of the contract
  • Assist in implementing new contracts on a Divisional basis.
  • Communication and collaboration with key BSC Stakeholders – DOS’s, DOM’s VP’s, HEMA, Clinical, RM, and TM.
  • Assist in development of customized value propositions to match the target customer and the market.
  • Identify key accounts, health care professionals, and business issues that have the greatest effect on use of these Franchises by meeting with existing and potential customers.
  • Classify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care, facility efficiencies, & cost containment (where applicable). Determine where our solutions can assist in providing a meaningful healthcare solution.
  • Develop relationships through therapy and market awareness activities, routine customer visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, procedural observation, trade show participation and problem resolution, as well as leveraging key referral sites.
  • Identify and develop relationships with administrative hospital employees, emerging leaders, and service line managers (e.g. casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to gain knowledge on unique facility business dynamics and to identify key decision makers.
  • Work closely with the Sales Management team in evaluating business conditions (This is key as we grow each of these franchises and currently this is largely being missed or misunderstood)
  • Identify commercial insights and develop messaging that will be used to provoke meaningful conversation and highlight BSC’s value beyond the product.  
  • Prepare and submit reports to Sales Management by analyzing and compiling data, projections, and other relevant information.
  • Identifies and develops working relationships with the economic buyer in the division’s key account(s).   
  • Maintains knowledge of the industry and the competition, continually seeking information from physicians, economic buyers, clinical stakeholders, and others to challenge, modify and prioritize strategies.  Prepares the team to counter the competition
  • Supports specific Marketing initiatives through cross-functional collaboration and execution.
  • Spends a minimum of 50% time in the field to develop and maintain strong relationships and understand the customer, as well as our FSO.
  • Ensures the effective implementation of representative customer records, key contacts, reports and company policies.
  • Plans and controls expenses to ensure sales objectives are met within budget
  • Attend and participate in customer, company and industry sponsored forums and courses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key BSC functional areas.
  • Ensure applicable BSC SOP’s are understood and implemented - i.e. audits.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities through various project management assignments

 

Qualifications

 

  • 7-10+ years relevant business experience, portfolio management within the medical device industry, urology experience preferred
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Documented sales success
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to travel as necessary
  • Self-starter, team player, proven leadership qualities
  • Able to build and maintain strong internal and customer relationships at all levels
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented
  • Excels in a fast-paced, competitive environment where ambiguity is a daily occurrence
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
