About the role:

Leadership role responsible for solution delivery across the Digital Marketing Technologies team supporting Boston Scientific’s global web platform and digital assets. This IT Manager role is responsible for delivering on the judicious vision of our BSC Global Digital Marketing organization.  Key focus will be on leading and managing day-to-day responsibilities for the delivery teams delivering on this vision.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Build strategic partnerships with BSC Digital Marketing Organization, developing roadmaps, identifying key areas of focus, and driving a judicious vision for the platform
  • Responsible for managing web platform and digital asset delivery. Delivery will include core Adobe Experience Manager capability, tech debt and continuous improvement releases.
  • Responsible for senior project management duties, including vendor partner delivery collaboration as well as delivery of judicious projects.
  • Prepare, maintain and keep updated IT procedures and documentation related to our processes and platforms operations.
  • Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work and mentoring/developing other team members
  • Clearing obstacles or blockers both internally within the scrum-team and external groups including integration and deployment teams
  • Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management
  • Promote empowerment of the team and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team
  • Support financial management duties within the team
  • Responsible for communication and escalation of issues faced by scrum-teams to IT and business leadership

 

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8-10 years of relevant IT Experience
    • 5+ years of analysis experience in large global implementations of Adobe Experience Manager / Global CMS Platform
    • 3+ Years’ IT management experience working with diverse and virtual teams
    • 5+ years of leadership experience in large global projects or managed platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • SCRUM/Agile methodology expertise with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
  • Balanced business/technical background:
  • Proven technical experience to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive background with software development life cycle models as well as good knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
    • Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne or Agile Accelerator
    • Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
  • Examples of creative approaches to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, complex enterprise-level projects
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel
  • Previous experience working in a regulated environment
