About this role:
The Senior Accountant, Restructuring and Integration will focus on accounting and reporting for global programs associated with business optimization initiatives and strategic M&A transactions. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the relevant accounting policies, providing detailed guidance to key stakeholders, monitoring and forecasting program costs and effectively communicating results to an executive steering committee.

 

Your responsibilities includes:

  • Apply technical accounting research to business transactions, specifically in the areas of restructuring and integration
  • Prepare technical accounting memos and presentations to highlight key considerations and financial impacts
  • Deliver accurate annual plan and period forecast estimates to FP&A for each area of responsibility
  • Communicate results to an executive steering committee on a quarterly basis
  • Maintain relevant accounting policies and address ongoing stakeholder questions
  • Complete accounting close activities, including required journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Partner with the SEC Reporting team to prepare high-quality footnotes and disclosures for our quarterly and annual filings
  • Partner with the Corporate SOX team to maintain effective internal controls over areas of responsibility 
  • Liaise with external auditors to address review/audit questions and provide relevant responses and supporting documentation

 

What we're looking for:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience required.

 

A successful candidate will need to exhibit the following qualities:

  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and ability to interpret and apply technical accounting research and reach conclusions
  • Desire to engage, lead and work in cross-functional teams – independently and in consultative manner
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills which provide the ability to establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Prior experience in a public accounting firm
  • Mix of public/private a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP and Hyperion a plus.
