A technical leadership role for a high-priority, high-visibility program tasked with expanding the indications for use for the TraceIT hydrogel – a key product within the future of the Urology and Pelvic Health’s Prostate Health franchise.



  • Lead a large team through the new product development process, including the development of a comprehensive strategy to identify and satisfy relevant regulatory, clinical, and R&D related requirements to support additional indications for use.
  • Manage technical resources through design and technical problem-solving processes using theoretical analysis, concept generation and experimentation, and other problem-solving methodologies to make data-based design decisions.
  • Work with the Program Management Office, cross-functional team members and franchise leadership to set program scope, identify and manage risks, and create and manage a risk-adjusted program timeline
  • Lead the periodic communication of program status updates to upper management
  • Create and maintain design control documentation required to meet Boston Scientific’s Product Lifecycle Process (PLCP) requirements and support regulatory filings
  • Partner with marketing, commercial and clinical partners to provide portfolio oversight, and help develop a long-term franchise strategy to leadership.


What we’re looking for in you: 

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or chemistry is required. Bachelors required; Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years product development in new product development is required. 4+ years of experience working in new product development specifically in the medical device industry is also required.
  • Previous experience working with regulatory affairs and clinical partners to create and execute product development strategies for products which require clinical data and/or rationales is required.
  • Experience working in project lifecycle management (PLM) systems such as Windchill or Adaptiv is required.
  • Previous experience working in a mechanical lab setting conducting testing and collecting data is required.
  • Passion for learning about the relevant anatomy and pathologies, understanding clinical use scenarios and solving problems for end users
  • Proven self-starter who runs towards issues, ambiguous requirements, or loosely defined challenges
  • Skilled problem solver
  • Up to 25% Travel required
