About the role:

The Associate Project Manager is an entry-level leader of approved projects in the UroPH Project Management Organization. These projects vary in size and scope but may include supporting business process improvements, acquisitions/divestitures, quality/regulation driven project work, technology development, new product development as well as driving strategic and transformational changes that are needed at BSC. These projects often have a relatively high level of complexity and visibility throughout the organization. The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for leading diverse, cross-functional team(s) of company professionals to evaluate, design, build, and implement solutions to support the project goals. The Associate project manager will work collaboratively across various functions, BSC sites, outside vendors and engage stakeholders to develop the individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver project results. The candidate needs to be a self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership skills in project, process and/or people management and be able to execute with limited general supervision. Strong technical background and project management skills are highly desired.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead small to medium project teams ensuring good cross-functional communications and alignment to ensure timely completion of the project or task.
  • Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments.
  • Implement project plans, build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage, and communicate project risks.
  • Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk.
  • Document project meeting minutes, issues log, decision logs, metrics, and other key communications.
  • Manage individual project challenges and recommend solutions to address them.
  • Ensure current BSC policies and practices are followed and accurate documentation requirements are followed.
  • Help identify resources (people and $$) required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines.
  • Partner and collaborate with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectives.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering and 5 - 7+ years of technical work experience in product development OR
  • Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering and 3 - 5+ years of technical work experience in product development.
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading project teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence and Situation Leadership.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and influencing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is similar programs to create and maintain project schedules.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% (including international travel) post COVID

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical products industry a plus
  • PMP® certification desired
  • Candidate must be comfortable in front of all levels of the organization
  • Candidate must be within a 3 hour time zone of Boston
