Employee Engagement Communications Specialist

 

The Employee Engagement Communications Specialist will assist with the development and execution of internal and external communications and campaigns supporting initiatives that reinforce the company’s culture and support employee engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong, demonstrated desire to deliver compelling communications that educate, inspire and help build awareness of Boston Scientific’s employee value proposition, corporate brand and values. This role reports to the Director, Corporate Citizenship and Stakeholder Engagement Communications.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaboratively develop compelling stories that effectively communicate relevant and timely HR programs, employee engagement initiatives and awards and recognition, drawing on content, data and direction from both HR and the Corporate Communications teams.
  • Write and deliver communications that leverage the best channels and methods to achieve agreed upon objectives, including internal social and corporate communications platforms, external facing websites such as the BSC Careers page on bostonscientific.com, the BSC newsroom and corporate social media channels.
  • Create content in a variety of mediums (videos, articles, social media posts, gifs, email, etc.) to engage target audiences.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Corporate Communications, HR Center of Excellence (COE) program leads, leadership, vendor partners and professional organizations.
  • Collaborate with social media team members to coordinate paid and social posts that showcase the company’s culture to reach new audiences and enhance engagement with existing key audiences.
  • Collaborate on internal communications, including strategies for communicating with the company’s 38,000 employees to strengthen engagement and global connectivity.
  • Establish measurement tools and reporting to routinely monitor and analyze the effectiveness of HR communication channels and programs.
  • Enforce editorial standards and maintain consistency of editorial messaging, tone and style.
  • Work collaboratively with other communications colleagues around the world to ensure an integrated, effective approach across communications platforms.
  • Establish company best practices and tools for creative HR communications and
  • research new industry tools and techniques for benchmarking and continuous improvement.
  • Support ad hoc communications assignments from across the communications department.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in communications in an innovative company
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of social media tools, techniques and trends
  • Highly organized, detail oriented with outstanding follow-through skills
  • Naturally upbeat self-starter with a track record of achievement; readily accepts responsibility and proactively identifies opportunities to provide assistance
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success in video content development across various audiences and channels including social media
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships
  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest standards of integrity and professional excellence
  • Strong research skills and PowerPoint development skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment
