About the role:
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Project Specialist II plays a key role within the Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Center of Excellence (COE). This is a high impact role with responsibility for executing plans that build an inclusive environment within Boston Scientific, specifically managing the end-to-end process to support our rapidly expanding global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). The role requires a strategic thinker and change agent who is detail-oriented and skilled in project management, who can build relationships across a complex network of employee volunteers.

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Acting as the main strategic partner, connector and advisor to ERG chapter leads, global leads and executive sponsors to align enterprise-level DE&I goals to ERG goals
  • Providing day-to-day strategic and programmatic support to ensure ERG leads feel supported to effectively achieve their objectives
  • Managing the logistics and coordination of key events, programs, and initiatives including the annual global virtual ERG summit and annual DE&I impact awards
  • Acting as the primary liaison for ERGs to escalate issues to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team
  • Supporting the management and facilitation of the Global Council for Inclusion (GCI), including proposing and drafting the quarterly agenda, developing pre-read materials for executive committee members, coordinating the participation and engagement of ERG global leads, and acting as a liaison with GCI chairs
  • Providing advice and counsel for ERG global leads and chapter leads
  • Optimizing communication and connectivity across ERGs
  • Managing the overall ERG budget, KPIs, strategic frameworks and documentation to drive ERG efficiency globally
  • Embedding ERG Insight, a virtual ERG management platform, within ERG chapter workflows.
  • Collaborates with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion champions across the company on shared goals and objectives. 
  • Participates in related policy review or projects to identify gaps and recommend actions that drive DE&I progress for ERGs.

 

What we're looking for:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-5 years HR, DE&I or project management experience
  • Strong executor who can link DE&I goals to action plans and implement the plan
  • Budget planning and reporting experience
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze and present data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; can effectively articulate the business case for DE&I
  • Experience working effectively across a complex, global organization
  • Proven ability to build trust and gain the confidence of internal and external stakeholders
  • Superior project management skills
  • Up to10% travel required.

  • Highest levels of personal and professional ethics and integrity
  • Forward thinking with the skillful ability to manage through ambiguity
  • Familiarity with and exposure to employee resource groups
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently
