About the role:

 

As a Project Manager I, you will lead impactful projects from within the Endoscopy Project Management group. You will collaborate cross-functionally, cross-divisionally, and internationally to drive strategic projects that are critical to business growth and continuity. You will join a team of passionate individuals striving to improve patient care.

 

The projects will vary in size and scope but may include leading diversity equity and inclusion strategies, supporting business process improvements, acquisitions/divestitures, quality/regulation driven project work, new product development as well as driving strategic and transformational changes that are needed at BSC.  These projects often have a high level of complexity and visibility throughout the organization.  This role interfaces with key cross-functional groups including research and development, marketing, clinical, medical safety, design quality, regulatory affairs, process development and operations to execute product development.

 

You are a self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership skills in project, process and people management, able to execute with limited general supervision.  You will be responsible for leading diverse, cross-functional team(s) to evaluate, design, build, and implement solutions to support the project goals.  You will engage with various stakeholders and work collaboratively across functions, regions, and business units to develop the individual project strategies and secure necessary resources to deliver project results. Your success in this role requires creating a cohesive strategy for project execution, an effective project team culture, and driving execution to ensure project completion. 

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead project teams ensuring good cross-functional communications and alignment to ensure timely completion of the project or task

  • Partner and collaborate with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectives

  • Generate and implement project plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments to maximize team potential

  • Manage project challenges including scope impact assessments and recommended solutions

  • Build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage, and communicate project risks

  • Interact with senior personnel on complex matters requiring coordination between organizations

  • Deliver project status updates to management

  • Document risk mitigation plans, decision logs, meeting minutes, project metrics, and other key communications

  • Ensure current BSC policies and practices are followed

  • Identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines

 

Job Requirements:

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business and 5 years of work experience leading product development teams

  • Demonstrated project management experience leading cross functional teams and managing project scope, schedule, budget and risk

  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Strong Emotional Intelligence, situational leadership, and ability to manage by influence

  • Results-oriented, positive attitude focused on delivering timely, accurate and best in class execution

  • Comfortable communicating to and presenting in front of all levels of the organization

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business

  • Experience in the medical device industry

  • PMP® certification
