Job Responsibility: 

To create, test, and refine global value propositions, value drivers, and marketing collateral for Urology & Pelvic Health (UroPH) technologies from early development through launch and product lifecycle that communicate how Boston Scientific’s innovative technologies enhance clinical, economic, and humanistic (Quality of Life) outcomes and the healthcare experience for customers (patients, physicians, providers, payers, and policy makers). Lead cross Division initiatives to create Value Based Healthcare messaging that communicates the impact of Boson Scientific’s investment and dedication to advancing global urology care for all patients.     

  • Gain a deep understanding of key clinical, administrative, and economic value drivers and unmet therapy needs for clinical and administrative customers globally.  
  • Develop draft value propositions for high priority technologies early in the development cycle with support from Franchise Leadership Teams (FLT), Clinical, Regulatory, R&D, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA), and other appropriate functions. 
  • Test and refine technology value propositions and messaging throughout the technology’s life cycle using available evidence such as: published literature, real world evidence (RWE), payer databases, economic modeling, tools, and customer insights.  
  • Work closely with various business and technical functions, mentioned above, to coordinate the development and execution of Comprehensive Evidence Plans (CEP) that support the Commercial Launch Excellence (CLE) process to accelerate global technology adoption.  
  • Support commercial organizations to create, plan and execute delivery of messages through strategic channels (training of Division leadership, National Accounts, Franchise sales, digital, social media). 
  • Continuously update market insights and modify value propositions based on changes in market dynamics such as competitive landscape, new technology introduction, changes in therapeutic needs, and others. 
  • Participate in global customer (healthcare systems, providers) insight and value driver assessments. 
  • Communicate value insights from market research projects to key functions (Clinical/Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA), Sales, Product Management, R&D, others)  
  • Train the commercial organizations, in partnership with Marketing, HEMA and Clinical/Medical Affairs, on value trends in the marketplace. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in healthcare-related fields (clinical/economic/statistical/business) required. Ph.D., MD, or PharmD are preferred. 
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial, and economic modeling and strategic thinking skills. In-depth experience with payer and claims database analyses; preferred languages SAS, SQL, HIVE, and reporting is highly desirable. 
  • 7+ years of experience in HEMA, Outcomes Research, Clinical or Marketing in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Consulting businesses is required. 
  • People Management or Global Experience preferred. 
  • Ability to execute work in a digital environment (Microsoft Teams, ZOOM, Miro virtual whiteboard) in addition to in-person participation. 
  • Strong collaborative work ethics with a proven demonstration of relationship development with a broad set of stakeholders, including but not limited to external customers, marketing, sales, HEMA, clinical, and finance across various regions. 
  • Proven track record of direct and indirect influencing to drive business objectives.  
  • Development and execution of structured approaches to solve unstructured problems. 
  • Ability to navigate the organization’s structure to coordinate resources to accomplish business objectives. 
  • Creation of compelling presentations and effective communication of recommendations. 
  • Experience utilizing a broad range of primary and secondary research techniques (both qualitative and quantitative) and an ability to synthesize and uncover customer insights and unmet needs. 
  • Experience utilizing claims data for retrospective observational studies to generate evidence to support value messaging. 
  • Excellent project management, execution, and organizational skills in an in person, hybrid, and virtual work environment.
