Senior R&D Engineer Job

Purpose

  • A technical leadership role responsible for supporting international regulatory submissions and clearance processes for key products in the Urology & Pelvic Health Prostate Health franchise. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional partners such as marketing, design quality assurance, regulatory and other R&D resources to support upcoming international regulatory submissions for the Rezum BPH Steam Therapy and SpaceOAR Prostate-Rectum Spacer products

  • Work with team members to complete the end-to-end process of international regulatory submissions through device clearance by determining submission requirements, reviewing existing data and design history file documentation, identifying gaps between requirements and available supporting documentation, and closing those gaps by conducting required testing and/or creating data-based rationales as appropriate.

  • Support the registration process by answering questions from international regulatory bodies in a complete and timely manner throughout the submission reviews.

 

What we’re looking for in you 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or chemistry.

  • 4+ years of experience working in medical devices or another regulated industry such as aerospace, military, or other industry with government oversight.

  • Experience working in project lifecycle management (PLM) systems such as Windchill or Adaptiv.

  • Previous experience working in a mechanical lab setting conducting testing and collecting data.    

Desired:

  • Previous experience supporting regulatory submissions for medical devices

  • Proven self-starter who runs towards issues, ambiguous requirements, or loosely defined challenges

  • Skilled problem solver

  • Up to 25% Travel required
