About the role:  
We are seeking an inclusive and high performing Manager to lead our operational transfer pricing function and carry out objectives established by tax leadership for the team through the creation of mid to long range operating plans.  Develops and communicates a vision for the team and builds consensus for operating goals. Identifies and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results and build efficiencies into our processes.  Develops procedures to ensure inter-company transfer prices are appropriately established and documented focusing on those requirements necessary to minimize Company tax liabilities, while avoiding tax authority adjustments, interest, and penalties.   

 

Key responsibilities include: 
⦁    Leads operational transfer pricing activities including all recurring periodic transfer pricing analyses (compensating adjustments, TPV analysis, cost-sharing analyses, etc.) and global compliance activities (reporting and documentation requirements). 
⦁    Manages the preparation of all recurring transfer pricing models/analyses supporting our financial and tax reporting processes. Makes decisions regarding work processes and operational plans. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.  
⦁    Monitors proposed and enacted tax legislation (including new rulings, regulations, etc.) that may impact our overall tax reporting and operational processes and develops strategies and executes plans to address such changes.   
⦁    Continuously strives to improve tax reporting processes including new information systems (e.g. S4HANA) that improve the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of tax reporting. Monitors plans and manages processes for integrating new systems and acquired companies with our transfer pricing/tax reporting framework. 
⦁    Oversees global processes to ensure timely, complete, and accurate transfer pricing compliance, satisfying reporting and documentation requirements for US (federal) and foreign (local) jurisdictions, including reporting required under OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Action 13.  Serves as consulting resource on state transfer pricing matters as required. 
⦁    Supports commercial management on issues affecting transfer prices (restructuring, new product sourcing etc.) to ensure transfer pricing issues are considered as business operations or structures change.  
⦁    Proactively seeks opportunities to improve the tax efficiency of existing business arrangements, processes and reduce risks wherever possible through the utilization of APAs etc.  Communicates material impacts of new reporting requirements to the broader tax leadership team. 
⦁    Provides direction and guidance to staff on the TP team. Functions as an advisor to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. Investigates and solves problems that impact work processes and personnel within or across units or departments.
⦁    Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.  Reviews completed work for adequacy of results ensuring that they are either aligned with expectations or that deviations are rationally explained. Evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates.
⦁    Attracts and retains critical talent. Creates an inclusive, high performance culture in which all team members can reach their full potential while in pursuit of organizational objectives. Demonstrates effective change leadership.
⦁    Keeps the Company’s strategic imperatives and values at the core of decision making and action.


Minimum Qualifications:
⦁    Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting or Economics; Master’s Degree preferred
⦁    5+ years of related work experience within a U.S. based multinational corporate tax department or public accounting environment with operational transfer pricing experience 
⦁    Broad working knowledge of U.S. federal, state and international tax matters as well as US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
⦁    Proven ability to operate in a dynamic, deadline driven environment 
⦁    Enthusiasm for building relationships cross functionally and collaborating as a member of a high performing team
⦁    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and project management skills
⦁    Significant experience working with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and preference for experience with at least one major commercial ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
