Boston Scientific believes that to grow our business, we must grow our people.  With that as context, the GSO – Executive Development Manager II will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of enterprise initiatives related to developing director and above talent at BSC.  This encompasses processes and tools supporting development programs and initiatives, transition support for new directors and VPs, leadership competency frameworks, external offerings, and global vendor management.  They will partner with HRLT, HRBPs, Talent Management colleagues and business clients to determine strategic priorities in these areas and then execute on solutions which meet those needs. BSC is looking for a strong and credible Talent Management Leader who is passionate and driven to build and engrain a culture of Top Talent development at Boston Scientific.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES        

  • Bring Subject Matter Expertise to the function to shape the scalable global policies, processes, tools and programs around executive development.
  • Provide thought leadership proactively within assigned areas and with broader TM.
  • Obtain regular feedback and perform needs assessments from stakeholders; consider requests for changes and new products.
  • Benchmark externally including attend conferences, participate in associations and networks, read and research to obtain new ideas and innovative practices into assigned areas. Share learnings with broader TM and HR teams.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and new design needs.
  • Own the “product roadmap” for assigned area and lead the execution of projects in conjunction with PMO.
  • Manage the governance process for assigned area including:
    • Clear global and local design guidelines
    • Alignment among applicable stakeholders
  • Ensure product areas are effective, efficient and of high quality.  Where applicable, self-service and digitization should be utilized.
  • Lead change management and stakeholder communication for product areas.
  • Determine applicable metrics and scorecard, review them at least quarterly and communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Manage BSC’s Accelerated Leadership Development Program.  This includes partnering with the HRLT to nominate participants and partnering with EC members to design and facilitate the program.
  • Create and implement a transition solution for Managers going to a Director level and Directors going to a VP level.
  • Maintain and edit Leadership Competencies.  Embed across the employee life cycle as applicable.
  • Determine external development offerings for directors and above.  This may include a ready accessible list of educational partners and solutions or partnerships with vendors such as ExecOnline.
  • Help to foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Core competencies to be successful in this role include Global Perspective, Customer Focus, Influence, Execution, Communication, Collaboration
  • Travel 20%.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minnimun Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7-9 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 
  • 4+ years experience in design and delivery, talent assessments, facilitation, and coaching obtained certification (where appropriate) for Director and above level individuals 
  • Large scale project/program management experience
  • Advanced assessment/Voice of customer data collection and analysis experience
  • Policy and program design experience
  • Ability to communicate complex HR concepts and products to a diverse and broad audience range (HR, non-HR, different cultures, different levels, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively build trust with execuitve level individuals
