About the role:
The Market Development Team is a U.S. field-based marketing organization committed to developing and/or executing the strategic initiatives of the Endoscopy Division through focused engagement of the top key opinion leaders within Tertiary Referral Centers. The position serves as a field-based Marketing representative responsible for market development objectives in the Bariatric Surgeon customer segment. Market Development Managers (MDM’s) collaborate with cross-functional teams on upstream and downstream marketing objectives. A field-based MDM is responsible for focused KOL engagement with the Key Opinion Leaders in his/her area, strategic technology commercialization, market expansion efforts, upstream product development support and the creation and/or execution of key projects. This allows Endoscopy to have consistent access to these luminaries for product development, research, training and market intelligence.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Field-based Marketing representative responsible for key Centers and Bariatric Surgeon KOL’s in select markets across the US
- Develop strategic relationships with identified Key Opinion Leaders in Bariatric Centers of Excellence and members of the care team to include all key stakeholders within the care continuum. .
- New technology commercialization (Upstream and Downstream Marketing Activities).
- Lead and operationalize COE strategy in conjunction with other key internal partners
- Develop and manage education, training, and research projects with key opinion leaders.
- Actively participate on Core team’s during product development process for key technologies.
- Support new business development activities
Quality System Requirements
In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable:
- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in medical device industry with a GI, Pulmonary or minimally invasive surgery company
- Extensive customer facing experience
- Fellowship Program experience (Fellow training and education)
- Tertiary Referral Center and Key Opinion Leader management experience
- Demonstrable experience in navigating multi-disciplinary care teams and program development
- Documented experience collaborating with cross functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of the numerous functions and stakeholders that are required to run the business
- Evidence of a high level of business and clinical acumen
- Demonstrable ability to deliver presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
- 75% domestic travel commitment required

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $120,000 to $150,000, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
