About the role


The healthcare industry is changing rapidly with several market dynamics significantly impacting the patient care continuum. Boston Scientific sees this as an exciting opportunity to ‘Advance Science for Life’ by developing and delivering innovative, insights-based marketing to activate HCPs and patients alike.


The Marketing Analyst is a key member of the Marketing Planning Center of Excellence in Corporate Marketing. This individual will collect and examine market, customer, patient and competitor data to inform key business questions for Business Units (BUs) and Enterprise Partners. The role will report to the Manager of the Marketing Planning COE. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Data analysis: Work with multiple data sources – including but not limited to medical claims data, user engagement data, quantitative survey results, qualitative interview findings – for use in patient and customer opportunity assessment, segmentation, strategy development and expedient planning.
  • Strategical Analysis: Perform secondary research, information synthesis and ROI analysis to advance projects led by the Marketing Planning COE. 
  • Competitor Intelligence: Drive marketing competitor intelligence efforts, including competitor earnings call/investor summaries and other medical device industry reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders throughout BSC to collect, synthesize, and disseminate relevant insights and trends. Lead a community of Competitor Intelligence professionals at BSC for best practice sharing.  
  • Market Trends: Examine global healthcare market trends and work with business units to interpret trends and integrate into strategies. 
  • Vendor Management: Select and manage license and relationship with secondary data platforms such as IMS, MRG, AlphaSense. 
  • Ad hoc program analysis as requested by BUs and leadership.

What we’re looking for:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree required; Business, Engineering, or Life Sciences focus preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in Finance, Consulting, Business Strategy, Marketing Analytics or Business Intelligence required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel (formulas and functions, pivot tables, charts and visualization, conditional formatting, data manipulation and navigation, and data connection across formats).
  • Demonstrated experience translating complex data translating complex data analyses into useful insights.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful and timely delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on deliverable/analysis quality and accuracy.
  • Experience using healthcare claims data in developing strategical direction and marketing planning.
  • Experience using Sales reporting tools like Tableau and SFDC to examine sales trends and build ROI models strongly preferred.
