Summary/Objective 

 

The UroPH division at Boston Scientific is a complex and fast-growing business within Boston Scientific. Growing and evolving leadership and marketing competencies and overall marketing talent will be critical to achieve business success. The Marketing Development Manager position is a new role that will be dedicated to overall talent development strategy and execution across the UroPH Marketing Organization. The person in this role will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of competency-based development programs for the organization’s new and continuing marketing employees. He/she will also be responsible for developing and managing a Marketing Leadership Development Program and leading the division’s Commercial Launch Excellence program. This highly visible position offers significant personal and professional development opportunities and will be instrumental in influencing senior leadership, executing key programs and managing the development of our organizational assets.

 

The Development Manager will leverage strengths and experiences in marketing, talent development collaboration, planning and execution and their passion for high performance, marketing excellence, and diversity, equity and inclusion. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Work with UroPH marketing leadership and HR to develop and operationalize talent strategy to support divisional strategy, scale and growth objectives
  • Evaluate and develop programs / initiatives to elevate future marketing capabilities in global marketing, digital marketing, capital equipment, etc. 
  • Create, lead and partner to execute a training and onboarding program for Marketing personnel 
  • Manage all aspects of the Management Development Leadership Program (MLDP) program including assessing business needs, recruitment, and program facilitation for MLDP participants. 
  • Drive adoption of the marketing competency models to drive development and high performance
  • Create, lead & execute on new & current marketing competency development programs & initiatives 
  • Elevate and lead the UroPH Commercial Launch Excellence program
  • Drive best practice and standardization amongst marketing outputs (User Needs, Customer Engagement, etc.) 
  • Establish and maintain training curriculum for marketing
  • Collaborate & influence BSC Center of Excellence onboarding and training
  • Understand and influence commercial strategies across the division with consideration for both short and long term talent development and capability needs
  • Collaborate and partner with global commercial leadership and team members as well as cross-divisional marketing teams 
  • Demonstrate strong communication and change leadership in support of franchise/divisional strategies that engage the team, strengthen collaboration and foster elevate, engage, empower culture

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, and preferably MBA focused on business, marketing or significant relevant experience
  • 7+ years of medical device marketing experience preferred with product marketing functional knowledge and experience working in or with upstream, downstream, marketing communications, and market development.   
  • Significant program development, leadership capabilities and project management experience 
  • Project management skills and experience in training / adult learning and development. 
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with a wide array of stakeholders and influence colleagues without direct reporting relationships
