 Title: New England Quality Internship 
Location(s): Marlborough MA, Coventry RI, Quincy MA 
Duration: 12 weeks (May-August)  
Eligibility Requirements: Ability to work in the US permanently without any restrictions

 

Our Purpose: 
Our mission is to serve more patients with improved product experiences through 4 key objectives creating the best culture, best agility, best performance, and best compliance. Develops, establishes, and maintains quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices that meet BSC, customer, and regulatory requirements.  Serves as a Quality representative to improve awareness, visibility, and communication on quality initiatives to support departmental, functional, site, divisional, and corporate quality goals and priorities.   Provides focused quality engineering support within new product development, operational, or system/services support. 

 

Your Opportunity:
As a Quality Intern at Boston Scientific, you will…

  • Lead in the implementation of assurances, design and process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Acts as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices.
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
  • Assure the development and execution of streamlined business systems that effectively identify and resolve quality issues.

 

Your Impact
Examples of meaningful work by:  

  • Supported completion of Design Deliverables including but not limited to Risk Management Documentation to meet current EU MDR requirements for an on-time submission to newer EU regulations to maintain the commercialization of products.
  • Analyzed data to update statistical requirements based on revised Risk Index criteria for metal stent products protecting the $20 million in revenue 

 

 

Your Qualifications: 

  • Preferably pursuing a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering. Other degrees considered.
  • Desire to work in fast-paced Cross-Functional Teams to maintain and support quality-engineering methodologies, systems, and practices that meet BSC, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Display a basic understanding of data collection, analysis, and interpretation tools, techniques, and outcomes
