About the role:

We are seeking a Principal, Transparency Reporting Programs to lead enterprise-wide initiatives ensuring accurate, timely, and complete reporting of healthcare provider (HCP) expenses. This role is critical to maintaining Boston Scientific’s commitment to legal compliance, ethical standards, and public trust in the MedTech industry. The ideal candidate brings deep regulatory knowledge, strong project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills to drive high-quality reporting across U.S. federal and state transparency requirements, as well as select international regulations.

 

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Marlborough, MA office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the project lead for all U.S. federal and state transparency and disclosure reporting efforts, ensuring timely and compliant submissions
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, issue logs, and stakeholder responsibilities
  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings, including setting agendas, capturing decisions, and tracking action items
  • Partner with legal counsel to interpret Sunshine Act, state, and international transparency laws and ensure legally informed reporting decisions
  • Act as the central liaison across stakeholders (e.g., Commercial, Finance, Medical Affairs, IT) for collection and validation of HCP-related spend data
  • Oversee data workflows across multiple systems, ensuring submissions are complete, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Support post-acquisition integration of HCP spend data into Boston Scientific reporting systems and standards
  • Monitor regulatory updates and reporting deadlines; collaborate with Legal and Compliance to update internal processes accordingly
  • Support audit readiness and responses to internal reviews or external inquiries related to transparency reporting

 

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Compliance, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare compliance, commercial operations, finance, or project/program management within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. Sunshine Act and relevant state-level transparency laws
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional, data-driven regulatory initiatives
  • Proven project management capabilities, including planning, stakeholder coordination, and accountability tracking
  • Experience collaborating with legal or compliance counsel on regulatory interpretation and execution
  • High attention to detail and data quality, with experience validating and reconciling complex datasets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project)
  • Experience with transparency reporting systems such as MedPro, Porzio, or similar

  • Strong facilitation skills to lead productive meetings and keep diverse stakeholders aligned
  • Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment with evolving compliance expectations
  • Adaptable and solution-oriented mindset when navigating ambiguity or shifting priorities
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive or confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate progress, escalate risks, and manage up
  • Experience integrating transparency data from acquired companies or complex business structures
  • Familiarity with international transparency regulations and reporting standards

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
