About the Role
The Finance team is looking for a Principal Analyst, Change Enablement for the global finance innovation initiative, Finance Forward, to play a key role in driving the strategy and success of multiple connected projects driving sustainable change across our financial processes and capabilities to scale for future growth. This role will interface with the finance leadership team in creating and implementing change management strategies within the organization. They will work to ensure future projects are tied to advancing finance strategy while inspiring, driving, and supporting continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to be located at multiple BSC locations.
The Finance Forward Change Enablement Team is responsible for Change Enablement and Communications; delivery and establishing a change support capability.
The Finance Forward Change Enablement Principal Analyst will report to Program Director, Change Enablement within the transformation office team, with oversight from the Change Management Lead. As part of the team, this role will be responsible for deployment of change activation strategies, capture and disposition of change impacts, stakeholder management, end-user change journey activities, and coordinating program communications with the communications manager. The culture of the team is to work as a group and be flexible and willing to jump into the broader team responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute business specific change plans, collaborating with workstream teams, ensuring the journey is relevant and tailored to each business area/team impacted by the change, leveraging team’s change playbook
- Identify and manage all relevant stakeholder groups, build relationships and understanding in support of a more enhanced change experience
- Analyze complex data to define the change impacts and associated change interventions required in the change plan, including conducting training needs analysis and defining training strategy.
- Support engagement of Change Champions across different workstream initiatives, as part of the wider Program to build momentum around the change
- Communicate upcoming changes via various forums, identify actions needed by project teams and relevant stakeholders, ensuring engagement and support from the current to future state
- Evaluate the adoption across the business areas impacted by the change through multiple forms of measurement (i.e. focus groups, surveys, analytics), adjusting course accordingly
- Build awareness with project team members in Change Management strategy to build additional capabilities within and across wider change team
- Coordinate with the team communications manager to develop effective artifacts to advise stakeholders in the change process
- Build relationships and confidence to influence at a senior level inside the organization
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Organizational Development, Training & Development, Human Resources, Leadership, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting organizational change initiatives within a large, complex organization
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Change Management, Project Management, or a related role
- Experience developing and executing change management strategies and plans for cross-functional business initiatives
- Experience designing and implementing stakeholder engagement and change adoption strategies across multiple stakeholder groups
- Working knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience analyzing business impacts and translating findings into actionable change interventions, including training needs and adoption strategies
- Demonstrated ability to influence, build relationships, and communicate effectively with leaders and stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization
- Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communications, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, Leadership, or a related field
- Professional certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) and/or Project Management (e.g., PMP)
- Experience leading enterprise-wide or global business transformation initiatives
- Experience supporting finance transformation, ERP implementations, or large-scale business process change programs
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience developing change measurement strategies using surveys, analytics, focus groups, and other adoption metrics
- Experience building and enabling Change Champion networks or similar change ambassador programs
- Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and project teams on change management practices and build organizational change capability
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments while driving continuous improvement and sustainable adoption of change
