About this role:

Responsible for developing the Global Clinical training strategy in partnership with the Manager, Clinical Communications and Training as well as implementing and maintaining components of a comprehensive Global Clinical training program.  This position is responsible for driving the strategy for these programs as well as with the responsibility to ensure that these services are conducted in accordance with regulatory and corporate standards and consistent with BSC business and functional objectives.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and drive the strategic direction for the overall Clinical training program in alignment with business and organizational objectives.
  • Mobilize the training strategy by writing and / or editing engaging and tailored trainings for the Global Clinical organization that are modern, accessible and effective
  • Create, support and execute innovative and engaging training and education programs and solutions as well as resources and/or tools on behalf of the Global Clinical training organization
  • Implement and maintain components of a comprehensive Global Clinical training program inclusive of training program options and calendar based on identified training needs across multiple regions, divisions and functions
  • Identify and develop systems for data management, with support from the C&T analyst, that allow us to track, archive and analyze training records efficiently
  • Creates relationships and global networks across the enterprise that enable sharing of knowledge, best practices, and solutions that can be leveraged for clinical.
  • Responsible for maintaining data files and presenting key metrics for senior clinical leadership on both BSC internal and external regulatory inspections.
  • Provides assistance and support to clinical teams during internal corporate and external audits, as well as other quality system requirements such as Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
  • Track, maintain and archive global policy records and make updates in response to internal or external audits, or regulatory and legal changes impacting internal policy
  • Conduct and analyze training assignment needs and maintain records that properly reflect training assignment criteria. Monitor training requirements for continued applicability
  • Present Global Clinical Training program updates at all levels of the organization and across functions.
  • Responsible for the management of tools and documentation reflecting operational processes related to global Clinical training
  • Cultivate internal relationships and develop an internal network of resources to facilitate the development and implementation of the Clinical training strategy. Actively leverage best practices from across Boston Scientific on various learning programs, skills, and competencies to inform Global Compliance Training program initiatives.  
  • Collaborate with Boston Scientific’s Learning and Development colleagues to ensure that the system is current, effective, meets the needs of the organization and is inclusive of Clinical training programs and content.
  • Supports departmental, functional, divisional, and corporate clinical goals and priorities.
  • Serves as a mentor for internal cross functional teams and junior staff.


What we're looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 9+ years of experience in life science industry or related adult learning and/or training experience.
  • Experience leading training projects of moderate scope successfully
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. 
  • Experience developing an engaging training program through modern techniques and/or through use of interactive training software tools and applications, (e.g. Articulate 360; Adobe Pro).
  • Exceptional written communication skills, and experience translating technical concepts into succinct and simple terms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, Project Management certifications also preferred.  
  • Project management skills, including ability to scope, plan and oversee execution of cross-functional projects, as well as the ability to organize, execute and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Experience presenting to management level
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify new or different ways of delivering meaningful training.
  • Confidence to handle pressures and deadlines and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data to analyze information while still seeing the “big picture”.
  • Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment that strives to exceed expectations.
  • Cultivates a wide range of business relationships across the company, and with vendors.
  • Results oriented with a willingness to get the job done and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to develop collaborative partnerships
