The Principal Contract Analytics Analyst will reside within the Contracting Center of Excellence team, part of Commercial Services. They will collaborate with stakeholders across the CCE and all P&C groups across Boston Scientific to define data and analytical needs, establish standardized reporting and provide analytics and actionable insights to support critical decision making. This position is highly visible to different levels of management and makes a real impact to the organization.

 

The candidate should possess strong expertise in data analysis including advanced level of analytical techniques, with the ability to not only synthesize complex data but also articulate critical analysis and actionable insights to help stakeholders to answer the most challenging business questions. It is expected that this role will develop strategic partnerships with P&C business leaders and across the entire enterprise including collaborating with Revenue Management, IT, and other areas of the business for different reporting and data initiatives. The candidate will also be a self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced matrix working environment.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interacts with internal customers and across business determine customer data or report requirements and translates them into reports for analysis.
  • Communicates and supports the Data Analytics strategy within the pricing and contracting space.
  • Work with IT counterparts to develop data sources needed for team internal reporting needs.
  • Uses data to depict or highlight key organization trends. Collaborates with businesses to identify insights, trends and potential opportunities, interventions and solutions to demonstrate business value.
  • Develops and maintains analytical tools used by the business. Identifies and recommends opportunities to optimize system and reporting. May maintain relationships with data and software vendors.
  • Assists with the development and communication of the data analytics strategy and operating plan.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires in-depth conceptual, practical, and technical and/or functional knowledge of principles and theories in own job function and general understanding of related job functions.
  • Tableau, Excel, and some SQL experience preferred.
  • Model N and SalesForce.com experience preferred but not required.
  • Applies understanding of key business drivers in the context of the organization's industry and how closely related teams integrate with others to accomplish their objectives and drive efficiencies.
  • Preferred candidate has MedTech background and Pricing and Contracting experience.
  • Supports team members by setting an example, coaching, and providing feedback and guidance.
  • May lead small projects or project steps with manageable risks and resource requirements.
  • Solves a range of problems of varying scope and complexity, generally applying existing solutions, while exercising autonomy to propose alternatives understanding their impact on the business or apply judgment based on experience to develop new solutions.
  • Outside the box thinking, solving new data problems within P&C and can blend different data sources to create efficient data models to be leveraged in reporting.
  • Impacts quality and effectiveness of customer, operational, project/program or service activities within own team and other related teams
  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  • Explains factual, sometimes complex, and potentially dynamic information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Organizes and presents data/ information to influence decision making, primarily to internal customers.
  • Has the ability to translate KPIs and metrics to all levels of management, ensuring the data tells the story intended by the business.
