About the role:
The Principal Education Specialist plays a critical strategic and operational role in the design, development, and execution of high‑impact Medical Education and HCP engagement events for Boston Scientific Coronary Therapies customers. The individual partners closely with Medical Education Strategists, Medical/Scientific Affairs, Commercial, and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver commercially aligned, compliant, and high‑return educational programs that advance clinical adoption, deepen HCP engagement, and support business priorities.
The role combines event strategy, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence, translating educational objectives and commercial strategy into differentiated in‑person, virtual, and hybrid experiences across the Medical Education portfolio.
Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
Event Strategy & Execution
- Owns the event strategy, scope definition, and end‑to‑end execution of select Medical Education meetings and HCP engagement events, ensuring alignment to therapeutic strategy, commercial priorities, and customer needs.
- Partners with key stakeholders/business leadership to translate educational goals into scalable, high‑value event experiences that support customer engagement and clinical adoption.
- Applies portfolio‑level thinking to optimize event formats, modalities, and investments across in‑person, virtual, observational, live broadcast, and local programs.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serves as a central connector across Medical Education, Medical/Scientific Affairs, Commercial, Marketing, Compliance, and external vendors, aligning stakeholders around shared objectives, timelines, and execution plans.
- Builds and maintains strong, credible relationships with physician customers, faculty, and field partners, enabling effective collaboration and high‑quality experiences.
- Communicates proactively and strategically with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations, mitigate risk, and drive alignment throughout planning and execution.
High‑Quality Event Design & Delivery
- Leads the planning and delivery of customer training and research programs, attending events ensuring seamless logistics, best‑in‑class attendee experience, and operational excellence.
- Oversees all event operations including invitations, registration, travel, lodging, faculty coordination, and on‑site execution. Manages vendor and adjunct event resources.
Commercial Alignment & Compliance Excellence
- Ensures all Medical Education activities are executed in full compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and established guidelines, without compromising experience quality.
- Ensures appropriate tracking, and documentation of HCP contracts, payments, spend reporting, and vendor payments, serving as a reliable compliance partner to the business.
Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership
- Brings a strong understanding of event industry trends, emerging technologies, and best‑in‑class practices, applying insights to elevate program design and execution.
- Leads process improvement efforts, introducing new tools, workflows, and operational models to increase efficiency, quality, and return on investment.
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of BSC interventional cardiology products, systems, and market dynamics to ensure relevance and credibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing mid‑to‑large‑scale educational events, meetings, or training programs
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs across multiple stakeholders in regulated environments
- Strong program management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously across multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Effective communicator with executive presence and strong collaboration skills
- Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with physician customers and field teams
- Experience leading process development and continuous improvement
- Technical aptitude with a strategic mindset and appetite for innovation
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with event and project management tools such as CVENT, Salesforce, Concur, Smartsheet or similar platforms
- Knowledge of interventional cardiology products or experience in medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
